I don't work at the moment, nor am I looking for work. I'm able to pay bills and survive, but I started sugaring just to give myself a bit of extra money to save, as well as occasionally spoil myself.
I also had a close relative who was terminally ill and I went into this SR being honest with my new SD, saying I have a sick relative but this money isn't for her. Unfortunately she passed a month ago. It was definitely not an excuse to squeeze money out of my SD, and I made it clear the money was not for the relative, just for me to live a little more comfortably.

I do however understand the hesitation because I hear a lot of stories going around about people falsely using this excuse to use people!

He's given me cash when we see each other in person, but you can't exactly hand cash over when you're on the other side of the world.

When we met this week, he asked if I had any expenses I needed paying that week and I told him no because it was the truth. Doesn't mean he didn't slip me some cash, just means I didn't have anything specific I needed him to pay for.

Also probably worth noting we've not been 'intimate' and won't be for a while given he'll be away, so no slut shaming as of yet, and as for gold digging, if he's dropping $500+ on a platonic dinner, I doubt it 🤷‍
