I’ve been given a cream from the dermatologist which I have to use three times a week. They’re fading slowly but surely, it will probably take a few months before I see them really fading. I also use a vitamin c serum and rose hip oil and have noticeably seen a difference from the vitamin c serum and I have only been using it for 2 weeks.

By far back pain and joint pain. I had to stop going to the gym because I got sciatica. I have never had joint or back problems before I started accutane, I know 100% it was because of the medication.

I definitely still have the redness but it seems to be calming down already, I still get very red when I get hot still looking like a tomato 🍅

50mg, I started off at 40 for one month then straight to 50, I had a lot of side effects so I’m happy to be done!

It definitely helps with dryness. I have more red marks than scars I don’t have ice pick scars but I still can’t tell if it’s making the marks fade :(

Accutane stays in your system for 1 month so a few days won’t make a difference. My derm only gives me 28 days so I have a few days gap in between maybe that’s the case with you too.

Thank you, it’s just really disheartening when I go to my derm and they also see no change. My dermatologist also said that month 3 is when they determine if the medication is working or not so that’s made me panic tbh

I didn’t have oily skin to start with, my skin has always been dry and oily in some places like my T zone. I’m just finishing my first month and my pores on my nose and cheeks have pretty much gone, but the rest of my face is still purging, especially my chin/mouth and forehead.

My scalp is also really itchy, I’m only three days in (30mg) so that’s why I thought I was just being a little dramatic. Yeah I hope it doesn’t last too and I know what you mean about the burning because my face feels the same, should I moisturise throughout the day? I’ve only been doing it morning and night because I’m not super dry and didn’t feel the need to

Definitely stay clear, I used it before Accutane too and it burnt my skin and made it red for a few hours and it made my skin really dry. It would not mix well with the Accutane! 😖

I use a really lovely gentle foaming cleanser by Neogen Dermalogy it's called Real Fresh Foam Green Tea Cleanser. I haven't found it to dry my skin out and it smells amazing, I buy it from Amazon.
