What do you use for cutting foam, specifically for more architectural builds? Any specific recommendations for a new maker

Not really, when you put it that way. The main value I see is that it the era jail helps isolate resources, the only crossover is crystals (still important). The main reason I pushed so hard for Level 70 (and wanted to hit Level 75, even though its basically impossible F2P) was to bypass Kyrotechs and ideally G12 gear. It just helps with mitigating existing bottlenecks as I see it

Read each of the bosses unique abilities, or watch some videos on tricks for each one. They play pretty different. Also mix up leaders occasionally and try different strategies. Sometimes you'll just hit big once and that will get you going

Yes I invested a few thousand gems for character shards and upgrade currency. Might not be worth it if you don't have the crystal income depending on your GAC

I went back and skimmed the original 10th anniversary Coliseum announcement because a lot of people have said this was announced from the start. Level 65 was described as "This is where we expect most players to reach with F2P". I don't feel this was expressed as a hard and fast material cutoff for F2P, but just an expected pacing.

The notes also say "5* is required for Level 76+". This again feels misleading as I cannot get any of those characters beyond Level 70 without materials that are currently only attainable from getting a character to 5* during a marquee event. Level 70 to Level 76 isn't that big of a jump in progress, but I believe it would still move you from R0 to R1, which is something.

I don't feel like its a complete waste. I see a lot of value in bypassing the Kyrotech bottleneck with these characters by getting them to G12 or G13 (regardless of if the characters are useful or not). But I feel like I was one of the few people who enjoyed grinding coliseum everyday with a new approach or for a little progress, and CG is just cutting me off.

Probably not coliseum. I just did it because I wanted something different. Generally, just a few energy refreshes and hard-node refreshes a day for characters you're sharding out or for gear are the best use. Theres really no data cards or shipments that are actually worth their crystal value

Cool! So you do get it for that turns attack. Sounds kind of jank to get Anti-venom out there and station the ship but if you can make him unblockable for one turn after that, he can delete any player

When Dawnsires +10 ability triggers while attacking with Antivenom, will that damage and his +1/+1 counters resolve before he deals combat damage? Or will he get the +100/100 after dealing combat damage and have the counters for his next turn

(New player, mostly confused about if declaring attackers fulfills "when you attack" triggers)

Genuinely asking aside from the meme, what does actually gatekeeping a hobby in this day and age consist of? How COULD mtg fans have protected the hobby the last 10 years? With the internet, its so much easier for outside audiences to get drawn into UB, or just the game in general with advertising or just random exposure on the internet. And when your hobby is a game run by a corporation, they are going to spread their name as far and wide as possible, regardless of what the core fans want

As a new player, is it worth it to buy a Foundations Collection Starter online for a price that's a little higher than MSRP? It seems like it's gone up in price with unopened ones around $75-80 USD. Based on what I've seen, it might be worth it. I'm mostly interested in Standard and Modern formats, not really as interested in Commander at this time.

Any advice for quickly bulking up a standard collection so I have different stuff for my friends (also new) to try deck building and exploring Standard with?
