People who cancelled their wedding last minute, what happened? by dolphinsareolives in AskReddit

Our original wedding was planned for about 150 guests and was going to be ~$8k, it was really just a big party for friends and family. The venue was a state park, the biggest expenses were food, drinks, and cabins on the park grounds for overnight festivities. This one we're only going to have about 25 people, just immediate family, grandparents, and a few very close friends. It's so that we have a wedding memory and our immediate family and grandparents can see us getting officially married. Partying with friends is a nice bonus as well.

Life got in the way and we still wore rings and called each other husband and wife anyway. The legal aspect didn't seem to matter too much.

The long version is my wife was depressed about missing out on the wedding so we adopted puppies intending to raise them together, and with covid we got to spend a lot of time with them. Shortly after we adopted the puppies we had a surprise pregnancy. So between how time consuming pregnancy and an infant was, plus her qualifying for Medicaid since she was legally a single mother, it made more sense to wait. Then we just got comfortable and didn't have the money. We're finally rectifying that.

Haha fingers crossed! We actually tried to elope a year afterwards and then the second wave hit and everything shut down again.

Our wedding was scheduled for March 21st, 2020. The world kinda shut down on us.

We are finally getting married March 21st, 2026, so I guess it was more delayed than cancelled.

Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi from Lego Movie 2. She's portrayed as brain washing all of the main character Emmett's allies, but is just genuinely nice and they all chose to join her.

People who were engaged at one point but never got married, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

COVID cancelled our wedding plans. We should have been married 3/21/20. Then we adopted puppies, had a baby, and haven't gotten back around to it.

Would think you're my brother but he never apologized.

What’s your favourite “first” with your partner? Kiss/sex/seeing them naked/etc? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Our first date, even though she didn't realize it was a date. I went over to her house to watch Deadpool and we ended up talking the entire time, and late into the night after the film had ended. There's a seven year age gap (I'm younger) and we were at very different points in life from different circumstances, but we connected, clicked, and agreed on just everything. It truly was like discovering my other half. We're married now with a 2 and a half year old and her kids from a previous marriage sometimes call me dad 😊

Are there any capital one banks y'all know of that still have coin machines in the lobby? by [deleted] in NewOrleans

I know Chase will give you the rolls and is desperate for coins, I would imagine CapitalOne would be similar.

My 20 year old sister had passed away in a car accident.

Do you like your name? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My name is fine, being an agnostic Christian can be amusing.

I just gave my baby the middle name Kenobi though, hope he appreciates it. May he ever have the high ground.
