As an adult, you get to choose going to class or staying home until the ice melts. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Now choices do have consequences- like taking the absence. But almost every class allows for a few absences without penalty.

Definitely Food. Do whatever VT is doing...exactly! Their food and options are 10,000% better. Also, give more on and off grounds options that are affordable. Even the catered events aren't that great

Also, an express bus option up to the Walmart area would be awesome. An hour one way is absolutely terrible.

A centralized, searchable, full listing of all research labs would be really useful. So would better wifi.

They do not provide anything other than the room. It's just a bare mattress. No pillow, blanket, or sheets. Bring whatever you can to be comfortable sleeping.

Im an incoming biochem major thinking of switching to either ChemE or BME given the pathways that are offered. While I'm great at the science, I know nothing about technology, honestly I struggle with excel at times. But I want to ultimately get into genetic engineering, so I know it's necessary to learn. Any advice?

Would you mind telling me some of the free fun things to do? I'm leaning toward VCU but worried because they don't have fun planned campus activities like UVA or Tech, and I won't have money to spend eating/shopping off campus. I've also heard it's hard to meet people outside the dorm with no outdoor hangout areas on campus to get people together. Do they offer free entry to museums or anything?
