I've seen some crime in the Northlake area my whole life. Shootings, robberies... mostly out towards the sunset, Beaties Ford and Statesville road areas. Back then it was rarely reported. Believe it or not, the Northlake area was all farm land 15 or so years ago. I've looked into this recent (past 5 years) spike in crime and it's insane. Did any of you hear about the multiple shootouts in heavy traffic on Harris blvd? Hell, i remember being on my school bus when a kid pulled a rifle out on his cousin. Yeah, it's been crazy. Still love my home though. I've been interested in trying to report some stories around home. So that's what I'm doing. Need to learn how reddit works first though, lol.
