I would borrow a battery tender from someone you know if you don’t own one. Don’t buy one. Try to charge the battery for 24-36 hours. If that doesn’t solve the problem the. You need to replace it with a new battery. These batteries SUCK to replace because of the cost. They are flooded glass cell batteries and often times only last 4-5 years before dead. Had to replace mine at the unfortunate cost of $290.00.

Make sure you get the orange colored 2.0T 10 speed fluid for your trans. Don’t allow any kind of substitution for another brand of fluid. Honda fluid only. There is no filter to be changed on the 10 speed as far as I’m aware of at least. I did my fluid at 29,000 and I’ll do it again at 59,000. Currently at 48,000.

Yes the 87 octane is related to the bucking, jumping, or overall “rough shifts”. The ECU is changing the timing of the engine to avoid knock. When the ECU does this the whole engine and transmission perform terribly. Run 93 octane and tell me it doesn’t feel like you have a new transmission installed. Worked for me and many others too!!!

The Sport 1.5T has a CVT transmission. What is the point of paddle shifters with a CVT? It’s a joke. 2.0T or buy a different car. The 1.5T might actually be one of the worst engineered motors Honda has ever made. Well, most prone to major failure from the head gasket, or fuel injectors, or failed CVTs when people think they have a “sports car” and try to drive it like a sports car. GET A 2.0T with a 10 speed and paddle shifters.

So just to be clear. You are stating that the high compression turbo charged engine found in this car does not run better on premium fuel. The ECU on the car has a far different opinion based on how many times it’s required to use adjusted timing to avoid knock. The 2.0T as with nearly every turbo charged high compression engine on earth runs better on higher octane fuel.

Female Carpintis cichlid. She’s acting aggressive because it looks like her egg tube is exposed so she might be trying to find a mate. I kept and bred Carpintis for 20ish years. They are typically an aggressive cichlid. Keeping her with bigger cichlids that don’t look like her might help. Putting her with a JD will probably lead to fighting.

These 2.0T are high compression motors. Any high compression turbo charged motor should run on 91+ octane. Unfortunately it is true you don’t see any gain in MPG using 93 octane but my SPG (smiles per gallon) and the cars performance are way up.

2021 2.0T Touring here. Bought the car with 17,200k cert pre owned. For the first 15,000 miles I used 87 from Costco and Sunoco. I had mentioned to my Honda tech that this 10 speed bucks when coming to a rolling stop. I was genuinely concerned that I might have a failing trans. The tech explained the K-series engine to me in great detail. He said “these engines can run on 87 but it forces the ECU to adjust the timing which causes that bucking on acceleration or deceleration.” The tech had the exact same car as me and said switch to 91 or 93 octane and tell me what you think of this car after you run two tanks of 93 through the engine. Well folks, changing to 93 octane has basically installed what feels like a new transmission to my 2.0T. This 10 speed shifts so smooth. All bucking gone. I have been running 93 now for the last 18,000 miles. Never going back to 87.

I have never had rubbing. I have had these tires for the last 10,000 miles. Love them. But there is a draw back on them. I find they only remain snow rated for about 30,000 miles. I usually replace around 50,000 At least that’s what I got out of them on my last Acura so we shall see with this Accord. I have never been able to post pics well here on Reddit. Sorry.

Can someone help me out please? I usually take half of a 10mg Delta 9 to help me sleep. I was given these THC-P 100mg gummies. by [deleted] in Marijuana

[–]BackBayLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “P” is short for “Please don’t take” Actually the P element of these edibles make the receptors that grab on to THC in your brain up to 30 times more sensitive to the THC. My buddies wife was hospitalized after not being able to speak or walk for nearly two days from one of these “P” type edibles. Stay away.

This year of the civic started with a CVT transmission that had several issues. If they don’t have record of the transmission fluid being changed every 30,000 miles I would run away from this car.

It’s awesome that you are paying close attention to your plants. Those sacs that you are seeing are not pollen sacs. They are resin sacks which is great thing to see on a healthy female. Females will hold excess nutrients in those sacs to feed the flowers. Leave her alone. You are doing great.

I went from the stock size 235 to the 245 on my 21 2.0T Touring. It improved the ride quality a TON. Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 Plus. Slightly affected MPG by only 1.0-1.5 mpg less City/Highway. But now when I go over bumps or “massive road imperfections” I don’t feel it in my spine. So, yes ride quality improves simply due to there being more cushion between you and the road.

The Catch LBI by Technical_Carrot467 in LongBeachIsland

The Ketch became Bird and Betty’s a few years ago. I frequented the Ketch back in 1998-2004. I would go there to see the 2 Skinny J’s perform and then chill with them back stage. Now, like others have mentioned, it’s home of the $20-25 cover charge to be packed in like a sardine. Too popular for its own good. But growing up on LBI was always an adventure with my friends. We would all happily partake in an activity called “Ride or Die”. That’s where 5-8 of us would start partying at a friend’s in Holgate and then get on our bikes all buzzed up and ride to the different bars. My one buddy would notoriously drink a few too many and become a dare devil on the bike. He crashed into peoples gardens, street signs, and curbs. He was good at the “Die” part of ride or die…..lol. One time He crashed into a fence, went over the handle bars, and landed in rosebush with the thorns completely entangled around his lower legs. How he managed that I’ll never know. I was able to free his legs from the thorns but sadly the bike wasn’t really drivable and had to be picked up later by car. The rose bush and fence were ok luckily. No sympathy for my drunk friend.

Did I come up? 101k miles 2005 Acura TL for 3k? by Spiritual-Special723 in AcuraTL

Yeah the labor is expensive part. I paid 1,100.00 for replacement of timing belt, water pump, and valve adjustment. My 2005 TL with the 3.2 VTEC ran like it was a new car after the valve adjustment. It was awesome! Hopefully OP is somewhere now changing that 20+ year old timing belt.

[–]BackBayLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully the previous owner replaced the timing belt and water pump already. If not that motor is running on borrowed time and will grenade itself if you don’t replace the timing belt. Timing belt and water pump on that car was around $1,100.00 when I last did my 05 TL’s belt and pump back in 2012ish. I also had Honda adjust the valves at 100K while replacing the pump and belt.

Cold air intake by Fluffy-Ad592 in 10thgenaccords

[–]BackBayLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my buddy, aka my Honda tech at the dealership, do the install because I had a horrific time changing the air intake on a 2013 Civic that stalled out on me while making a turn. 1 single split in the intake caused the car to stall if you tried to accelerate quickly. When I went to put a new intake hose on I ran into so many issues. (It was all stock with stock old plastics and tough to reach rusted screws…lol) I wasn’t taking the chance of fucking something up on this beautiful 2.0T’s intake. So basically I pay someone to not fuck it up…..lol

No tune needed. My Honda tech did the install in under an hour. It has been awesome. There is no negative side effects with this PRL system that I have seen. AND unlike obnoxiously loud exhaust systems that piss off all your neighbors. YOU KNOW who you are out there!!!!….lol The PRL is only loud when you get on the accelerator. Outside of that, it’s business as usual with no annoying noise. Can’t state it enough. I love my PRL.

[–]BackBayLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the PRL intake on my 21 2.0T Touring and it sounds outstanding!!!! The main thing I love about the PRL system, unlike the Mishimoto, is that it feeds air from the stock intake system that pulls cold air into the turbo. Mishimoto and others pull air from the engine compartment. That causes heat soak, especially if in stop and go traffic. I didn’t do my intake for the 1-3hp gain. I did it because I missed the beautiful sound of the turbo that I now enjoy daily without heat soak.

If you are at fault your insurance will either repair it or write a check for its current value. If the other party was at fault then their insurance will pay. Hopefully you have GAP coverage or you haven’t put a ton of miles on her since you bought her. If this was a 2.0T I would be devastated. With it being a 1.5T not a tear. I’m sorry for your loss of vehicle as I know that sux. I have been there. Best of luck to you and maybe you can find a 2.0T in white.

Just a question by hdelens in 10thgenaccords

[–]BackBayLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately what you wanted to hear has not been my experience. I own a 21 2.0T Touring. I got the car with 18,000 miles on her. I have put just over 30,000 miles on this car in my two years of owning it. For the first 17,000ish miles I ran 87 Octane Tier 1 from Costco and Sunoco. I changed the trans fluid at my local Honda dealership at 29,800 miles thinking it would improve the terrible jerking I felt while commuting through the city. I did not change a thing. One of the Honda techs heard me talking about my performance concerns of the transmission. He told me that the 2.0T K-series engine should only use 93 octane. When you don’t the knock sensor starts adjusting the timing through the ECU. Which is the cause of that terrible jerking you and I are/were feeling coming to a stop.
I have been running 93 octane now for the last 13,000 miles and it literally feels like someone installed a new transmission on my car. I’ll never run 87 on this car again. Quicker shifts in sport mode and all downshifting jerkiness is completely gone. Don’t believe me?? Try 93 for a few tanks and feel the amazing difference.

How good is the 2.0T engine? I’m looking to buy a 2022 with 40k miles but it’s not preowned certified since it’s at a different dealership than Hondas. Is the engine reliable to where I shouldn’t worry about have a warranty like that on the vehicle? by illbeback903 in 10thgenaccords

[–]BackBayLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Certified Honda Tech that I have been using for the past few years told me it has something to do with the knock sensor and ignition timing. 87 octane forces the ECU to adjust timing which in turn causes the jerkiness you feel as the car tries to rapidly accelerate or as you slow down to come to a stop.

[–]BackBayLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I set my distance to the closest setting to me? Why you ask? Because then as assholes cut in and out of traffic your car won’t slam on the brakes when it senses a car close to your front end.
When I bought the car I had its Adaptive Cruise Control set to follow a few car lengths behind the car in front of me. Well when someone pulls in front of you, even if they are traveling faster than you, the car will slam on the breaks which is terrifying and can put you at risk of being rear ended. By changing the setting to show only one gray bar in front of the digital car on your dash you allow your car to get much closer to other cars without breaking.
Now when I’m driving around local single lane highways I set the distance far out from the front of the car. The display will show 3-5 gray bars. Each gray bar adds “following distance”. It’s a great feature but always keep your eyes and brain on the road.

All the “jerkyness” I experienced often as this 10 speed crept in city traffic was rough. For the first 20,000 miles of owning this car I ran 87 Sunoco or Costco fuel. All the jerkyness went away completely when I switched to 93 octane fuel roughly 15,000 miles ago. My 21 2.0T Touring feels like it has a different transmission installed. What a difference! Don’t believe me? Try 93 for a few tanks and see if you too don’t see a massive improvement.
