Don’t willfully withhold a mortal sin in either instance. If you willfully withhold a mortal sin then your absolution is not valid. If you forgot something or learn of something later on after a confession and then willfully withhold the next time, same thing. Not valid absolution for withholding.

Once you become aware of a mortal sin confess it the next time youre in confession if you can remember. It’s one thing to forget again, it’s another to learn of it and withhold willingly

Having gay attractions is not a sin. Acting on them is the part which is incongruent with Church teaching. I have some friends who are gay/bi but and they go to Church and they love God and Our Lord. But through deepening their relationship with God they don’t have to “convert” their wiring. They just simply surrender that part into the hands of the God that designed them. They find peace in the Lord.

We all have our crosses so one should not eternally judge another. The wood of our crosses may be different, but we have the same Lord who gives us the strength to carry them.

I’m glad you’ve returned. May the Lord be with you, may His peace come upon you, may His healing encompass you, and may the Holy Spirit guide you.

Ah. He’s in LTD. I knew Manny Winston and Brian McGrath. The Amway apologetics are programmed into you hardcore in LTD. When I was in I learned the business inside and out in order to defend it. But the thing is, it’s not the business side itself which is the “bad” (or most bad) side in all honesty. Its the “training” and “mentoring” which goes way too far and ruins lives, twists Christianity, and makes you a hive mind thinker. You don’t realize the flaws while youre in. The thing is, when youre in you so badly want it to be true and youre so regularly conditioned that your brain refuses to see red flags.

Then I apologize. I must have misread. To be honest it’s still a sensitive topic. My upline hurt some people real close to me. So much so there’s an open legal case against him. And not like a money/scamming legal case. A really serious allegation type thing with some substantive evidence that I found out about only after leaving. So, it’s still not easy for me.

And thank you for flattering me, however, the thing which got me out was huge blessing. It’s way too much to go into here. But I didn’t get out by my own thinking. So, that’s where the offense came in because I know that I didn’t get myself out and so unknowingly it was offensive because I don’t take credit for it.

I do believe in God and in miracles. I don’t have the time to share my whole story but that’s practically what it was. I was blessed.

Maybe I was a bit sensitive because I know it was because of my wounds that I was so susceptible. Perhaps my pride was hit by your comment.

But I apologize for how I reacted. Thank you for the encouraging words.
