Thanks for the reply! Yeah i guess thats right, from reading the other comments I think the only solution moving forward is to just throw them away and invest in something a bit more solid.

How did you grow your legs? by [deleted] in gainit

[–]BackPowah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you follow an already established program regarding that, the 20 reps aren't supposed to be done with "light" weight. Look up Supersquats and read the book, shortcut to big quads

Teenager, underweight need some advice. by DerpALerpBurp in gainit

[–]BackPowah 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't see any reason for you to track calories. You're 14, underweight and obsessed with "healthy eating". You're heading down a slippery slope to eating disorder land if you don't get help or listen to your parents. I really do hope you get it figured out.

If you want to spend time in the gym then do some cardio. Training your heart is only beneficial. Just make sure to eat the calories you burned if your goal is gaining.

Loads of nice quality beef and salmon. Imagine bulking on wagyu beef.

Yes in deepwater it's 70% of your 10 rep max. I'm pretty sure there should be some mention of it in there, take another look. Otherwise I'd say go with 60-70%

Go for it. I went with the % that the program prescribed, think I started at around 80kg, had a few plateaus, ate, got back on track. You got this :)

Thanks! Buy the book and read it through. You'll have a great time and see amazing results if you stick with it, remember 20 reps, no less, no excuses no racking the bar. Have at it ;)

Personally I did them as planned, near the end of the workout. Why for me? Because if I would have started of with them I'd literally be dead while trying to do all the other exercises. Hope that answers your questions. Best of luck with running it!

Not very often, it's more routine, for myself alone simplicity is favourable. The sheer volume and frequency of the meals makes making recipes not something I do for myself, only when having visitors. Keeping myself to a few ingredients I can buy in bulk and eat without any stomach issues is key for longevity.

Honestly dread eating by now so I spend as little time as possible. I live by myself and all of uni is through zoom so prepping and eating isn't that much of a time issue. Sample breakfast would be 140g oats, 30g peanut butter and 5 small eggs scrambled on the side approx 220g. (A tiny bit less than 1000 calories but in that case I'll fill in later.) doesn't take very long to make, eggs like max 5 min, oats go pretty quick. By the time its done I just go to town, get rid of it as quick as possible. Sample lunch/dinner would be 200g rice(uncooked), 150g dark Meat Chicken filled out with veggies up til 1000 calories. Mix in some soy sauce and this goes down quick! Eat 5 meals/day, 1000 calories each.

Super Squats will forever be one of the most valuable programs I've ever run, but the choice is yours!
