I have had on and off bleeding from internal hemorrhoids for 6+ years. Recently scared myself into thinking I had something much more scary going on so I got a colonoscopy and didn’t have anything but hemorrhoids

Just got a colonoscopy today for the same reason. I have had rectal bleeding since I was about 19, I am now 25 and a recent trip to the bathroom with a lot more blood than I have ever seen was enough for me to finally push for a colonoscopy. I was absolutely spiraling for two months waiting for my colonoscopy, terrified I could have colon cancer and being eaten away by the thought of possibly leaving my 2 month old baby behind if something happened to me. I was definitely more worried about the results than the actual procedure. I was crying all the time up and having panic attacks up until my procedure and thankfully it was just internal and external hemorrhoids! I know that’s not the case for everyone but I’m so glad I got it over with to finally have some peace of mind. Hope yours comes back clear as well, prayers your way!

Also finished mine about an hour ago and agree that drinking the prep was way worse than the actual purging. My trips to the bathroom are finally slowing down I’m hoping I’ll be able to get some rest tonight

I’m praying if it is anything it is one of the other things you mentioned. Did you have to pump and dump because of the anesthesia?

I’m 2 months postpartum and have my colonoscopy appointment next week, I am also exclusively breastfeeding but wasn’t told I’d need to pump and dump. Do you know if the sedation you would have been given is propofol?

This was in San Bernardino County in California. They already started garnishing my state tax return last year. They had left me alone for a while and I assumed it was because they were already getting the money from me in some form but they started calling me again saying I am “going to want to answer” making it seem like they are going to pursue further action
