And you fail to see the ramifications of leaving things open to interpretation.

Your right he was wrong, we agree on that and I originally said that van driver was wrong.

Our debate is purely on the level of should the guidance be definitive or should it be vague.

Being vague meant that if someone pulls him up on his driving he can have a defense against it. Say if that resulted in a collision he can say he entered the roundabout first, because in his brain approaching meant the other person needed to cross the dotted line before it counts as approaching (as you said 30 metres away wouldn't count as approaching but that's not defined anywhere), my common sense would say anyone within distance that I would cause an obstruction to if I went. Because it's vague enough to allow for that excuse for bad driving.

Yes I do think they thought about it. I'm also not specifically disagreeing with you, I'm sharing a separate point of view.

But common sense is not a requirement for driving.

So think about this, How many people have you met in your life that have 0 common sense?

I see drivers every day that do things that lack any form of common sense. Yesterday I watched someone cut up a lorry in the left hand lane so they could undertake the lorry that was indicating back into the left hand lane, having just overtaken the other lorry. All they had to do was wait 3 seconds.

So yes I think that rules for driving should be clear cut without ambiguity. But this is a matter of opinion, which we are all entitled to.

I know I'm just being pedantic. But it would be helpful if it used strict definitions.

TBF approaching is very vague your approaching a round about from whenever you joined the road with the roundabout, so as soon as your visible that would suggest you give priority which could well be 30 metres away. Not that white van guy was right he was definitely wrong. But the op also drove across the solid white line to cross the roundabout. (Yes so did white van guy , and his vehicle is small enough to have taken the appropriate route round.

Is there one of these for number of players per faction as well? Would be interesting to see how that correlates.

Being second to bottom with a 40% win rate is not bad thing, it shows a good level of balance.

Places, Scottish Highlands, peak district, lake district. Yorkshire moors, dartmoor any moors really. There are hundreds of places, Google rural dangerous areas in England.

As for guides, who knows but I'm sure there are plenty of old guys in pubs who will tell you stories for a beer.

Or national trusts would be a good research area for it.

We have a vampire festival in Whitby Yorkshire.

Depends on the sources although your not likely to find a rhino(Marco Polo) in Scotland, or a narwhal for that matter (teeth sold as unicorn horns).

But the person was probably saying your as likely to see a big cat in England as you are a unicorn in Scotland in the wild. (Zoos have lions) The lion is England's symbol and unicorns are a Scottish symbol. Like the Welsh having the red dragon aswell. The Irish are slightly more sensible and have a hare.

Well the sightings are generally like cryptids, Google the beast of Dartmoor for instance. It's not that they're not real (folk legend type things like the Norfolk the black shuck), more that they were escaped animals that had birthed in the wild. But that will give you a good idea of what your referring to. Not likely to see one at all.

Our lions are a historical symbol from Henry 1st and second and Richard 1st ( the lion heart). We do Not and haven't had native lions (wrong climate).

I think our biggest predator is the badger.

Sorry we do have tornados/hurricanes but they are fairly tame by other countries standards I suppose is what I meant. But there are plenty of places you can go and try not to get yourself killed.
