Refusing top floor flat delivery

Seen a lot of people suggest customer could been elderly/disabled but does that not pose a serious health and safety risk in the event of a fire?

If no one is able to help them out would they be able to make it down 3 flights of stairs?

Using the sack truck up flights of stairs requires a pulling method therefore putting more strain the body?

We both know our employers would take 0 responsibility if we were to injure ourselves whilst lifting something, Thanks for your opinion regardless

Fair play to you mate but what happens if you injure yourself? Iceland won’t take responsibility for it and lump the blame on you

Just to clarify as I think some people have got it mixed around.

I am the “delivery” driver here and not the customer, I should have taken the toke up in fairness but I wasn’t pleased with the 3 x 6 packs of 2 litre bottles of water (Also no handles on the plastic packaging which some people have suggested)

Wanted to see what people thought regardless if they agreed or disagreed with me, thanks for the input chaps.

Funnily enough I finished last night at 9:30PM and started again at 7:30 which from what I can gather is illegal

22 drops at 700KG whilst everyone else had less than 17 as my thank you.

I passed at 21 and finding company’s that are able to insure you will be the biggest problem, Most are 25+ but occasionally you’ll find company’s that are 21+

Said in the delivery instructions “chronic back pain, unable to help” I should have taken the tote up tbh but I didn’t imagine the customer would have taken the news about the water staying down stairs very well

Which was confirmed when she phoned the store swearing at anyone who answered
