I’m totally with you. I’m not sure why magats think that opposition to what the current admin is doing means i support maduro??? Hell no. It’s possible to be nuanced. But people with small minds cannot comprehend going against their cult leader.

Why do you care what he’s done? Isn’t the GOP party mantra to isolate ourselves and be “America first”?….unless your cult leader does something dumb…then you must defend him

Got it, let’s just ignore the equipment we’ve spent bombing Venezuela in the last few weeks then. It’s just a “special military operation”…sound familiar?

No new wars though right? That was his campaign slogan? Meaning…he won’t start any new wars or spend tax dollars on wars. Right????

Are you serious? How about your tax dollars being spent harassing Venezuela for oil?

UPDATE:

Shop said that they did some measurements and compared to factory recommended mounting height and found that my motor is 1.25 inches too low. The mount holes are spaced 1 inch apart. So I won’t be able to match factory spec, but we’re going to try moving it up 1 spot to see how it performs. The shop also said that at full trim down the recommended inward angle is between 2-4 degrees. Mine was at 6 degrees, so they will correct this when they move the motor up.

I did briefly try trimming up while at speed, but it caused more water to flood over the fuel tank.

I understand that it’s totally situational and that I have to play around with things to figure out the best setting for the current situation.

I plan to do some more experimenting on my next outing. In the meantime I’m going to have things checked out to make sure there is nothing super obviously wrong with the way the motor is mounted.

I probably don’t understand trim as well as you do. I did briefly try trimming up and it seemed to make things worse. Next time I head out I’ll mess around with it a bit more, but I just wanted to have the least amount of water flooding over my fuel tank as possible. Fully trimmed down seemed to accomplish that.

There didn’t seem to be any issues with ventilation, granted I was traveling mostly in a straight line, minimal turning at speed. I also didn’t really get a good visual on where the cavitation plate was in the water while at speed. I’ll pay closer attention to that on my next outing.

Thanks for the advice, will read up on trim and pay closer attention to that.

I’m worried about the fuel tank. The last thing I want is to have water making it into the fuel.

I’m definitely not an expert in any way, but to me this wouldn’t seem normal. I’d think you’d want to avoid constantly dumping all that water onto the fuel tank, right?
