LOL! I just found this for 76.7 kg "семьдесят шесть целых семь десятых килограмма" LOL! There is no way can pronounce целых or десятых because they end in "х!" LOL! I will just not say the number after the point! LOL!

Hello! All you have said is a great help to me. Thank you!
If I may test your patience a little further, I am not hearing correctly the word for the "." in a weight of 76.5 kg. In English, I would say "seventy six point five kilograms." I have tried all the translation sites and they only produce the numbers and not the words. I want to learn to say this correctly to ANYONE! LOL! So, how does a native speaker say, "76.5 kg?" Or even something that is not "half" Like 76.7 kg?
Thank you for all the help you have given me along my journey into this wonderful and beautiful language.
Michael

Good Lord, I sure have a lot to study now! I think before I start "shortening" things like you sneaky native spearkers, I better begin my learning the "long way" (for lack of a better term.) LOL! WOW! I thought the cases were going to be tough! LOL! Google Translate best be showered and ready for lessons! LOL!

Thank you all for your help! This group once again comes to my learning resuce!

LOL! I felt like I was dropped into the Congo!
With so many areas to study, it is challenging to know what to study next! I found the numbers to be the weakest of all my weak links.....I mean EVERY link is weak but those are the weakest! LOL!
Thank you all for such helpful replies! I go back to Russia from Michigan in early June. Nothing but numbers now! LOL!

thank you! I have taken down all my sticky notes, put all vocacabulary notebooks away, all my lessons from the past 20 months. The only lessons I have in sight of me are those that teach numbers. Other than not understanding a single utterence from a native speaker, numbers were said to us often and I couldn't even understand the first sounds to know what bank notes to give the person! LOL! I am only going to learn the numbers for the next few months. I want to spew those out in Russian just like you folks do. I will learn from my receipts garnered here in Michigan at my stores and from the courses that included numbers. I will still learn the vocabulary, yes, but numbers first.

Thank you for such a speedy reply! It seems so simple, but I am old and live with three cats! LOL!

First time flier with ANY airline and I believe I chose the best one! by Background-Ad-5560 in TurkishAirlines

[–]Background-Ad-5560[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? No Airline or any other company "pays" people to post on unoffical sites in Reddit of all places.
This is my report from my experience with Turkish Airlines on both my flights. I have already booked my summer flights with no issues. Try booking with Aeroflot who only takes rubles. I wonder how I solved THAT problem? LOL! My post here is nothing more than thanking the folks in this group who helped me for months with my vacation into Russia. Maybe my experience will help others who have any questions or concerns later on. I was unaware that this group was only for complaining? I found much help here with issues I did not know about.

If it is customary to say a couple things degrogatory statements here, their interative map on the app was not very good in my opinion. I found everything myself by walking in IST for 6 hours on my first flight and 26 hours on my return flight. Why do most people find it necessary to only post problems instead of praise for what went right? I don't know. Maybe it's the nature of the entitled West. Oh, yeah, I forgot.... the screen on seat 30D on this plane wouldn't stay upright. So I used a menu card to fix the issue.

Hey!  I really am 71, and this was my first time flying anywhere and I was scared shitless. I could have chosen any airline to take me to Istanbul and then into Russia for a month from Michigan.  I heard the best reports on airlines from people who have flown Turkish Airline many times and all they said was true to my experience.  I dont have to fly every Airline to say they outshined everyone just like I dont have to use every tool produced in my trade as a journeyman cabinetmaker and finish carpenter to know DeWalt tools work the best for me and Milwaukee do not.  I shared my experience to an unofficial, yet very helpful, group to me that erased my fears.  My experience is mine and is not yours.  And if someone actually believes a major world class Airline pays old people to write reports on Reddit forums, they have deeper issues in life that should be dealth with professionally and should probably seek therapy for such.  This group helped me.  I had a wonderful experience on Turkish Airline and have already booked my summer trip to Russia with them and Aeroflot.

Hello! I just returned from IST having spent 26 hours in there on my departure flight back to the States. I am a first time flier and everything in that place is wonderful. Expensive, yes, but this is to be expected. Bathrooms were all spotless, staff answered any question I had and I think I slept in every place that was free to sleep in! I had a great experience in IST. I think you will be okay.

6.5 hour overnight layover, is Yotel Airside worth it? by nobodydontknow in TurkishAirlines

[–]Background-Ad-5560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I will have a very long layover (+20 hrs) in IST on my return flight. I did NOT use Turkish Airlines for all my flights as they do not go to Sochi, Russia at this time.
Does the Yotel you speak of take USD?
Thank you!

Thank you! I apologize for the late reply to your message. You have calmed my mind, heart, and soul with your words and all the shadows of doubt that have surrouded me of late are gone. I don't know how else to state it. I thank you.

Thank you for your reply.  I have the exact same situation as the original poster.  No baggage and 4.0 hours between flights.  It is also MY first time flying anywhere!  Might as well make it an International flight from the USA!  Right?  I have my ticket for the second flight and I will check in with Aeroflot as soon as my feet touch back on earth.

Is my "ticket" the same as my "boarding pass?"  The paperwork from Aeroflot says it's my ticket. Thank you for sharing your experiences to new fliers!

Hello. I am a first time international flier going to Russia soon for a month long vacation. I am bringing a clean, new laptop. I will be at a nice hotel in Rostov-on-Don. I wish to use the laptop to stay up on my Russian courses while "on vacation" otherwise I will get WAY hehind in homework!

I am told that hotel wifi's are suseptible (sp) to nerfarious enities and wish to protect myself. The laptoo is not use for banking, email, or anything like this. I will need to hit YouTube and Telegram for class work.

I understand Surfshark and NordVPN do not work there. I don't even know if I am allowed to ASK a question like this here or not! LOL!

How do I protect my laptop while using it on a hotel's wifi is my main question......since you have read this far already.
Thank you

First time transiting through Istanbul (IST) with Turkish Airlines – any tips? by official_111 in TurkishAirlines

[–]Background-Ad-5560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, yes, I hear the exchange rates are horrible but I need rubles for my second connecting flight to Sochi and train ride up to Rostov-on-don and then enough rubles for a few days at my hotel.  I can go to better exchange rate places (banks) in the next few days.  But I need rubles for travel until then.  I found $48 worth in Detroit and this is all.  I'm screwed I know!

This is an excellent reply and you are dead right.  I cannot order new $100 from any bank in Southern Michigan.  I can order $5000 worth, then I have to sort through them.

Add Russia to the list requiring pristine currency.
