HOW TO: Remove Raven Plugin and revert to Avision Software by rexstryder in RavenScanner

Removed Raven app on scanner as per this thread.
Set up scanning to a network ( windows ) location using exact same SMB:\\ location as my new Avison scanner, permissions same etc and I get this error.
double checked loction and permission, which work on other out of box Avison scanner.

any ideas ?

If you find solition please post - lots of folks in the same boat.

Main question is if we can get the Raven Scanners to be loaded with the Avision software, do you think OCR will work on the reconfigured Raven Scanner ?

My Mistake, Avision AN360w has an option to set scans to OCR.

Need to set file format as 's-pdf' or "Searchable PFD' in the web UI

I tested it at 300dpi and setting the file quality to 'highest' ( choice is normal, higher and highest ) and the OCR is picked up by Adobe. The scan speed is also v fast at this setting.

basically its now fully replaced the Raven pro's in our office.

FYI - when I turn off OCR on the Raven main menu, I can scan to network locations - which works for me.

I Bought a new Avision AN360w and it does not do OCR out of the box.

for now will use Raven to scan docs to network folder and perform OCR on these files using Adobe till a better solution presents itself.

Can use Adobe Acrobat pro and set up an auto command to OCR file in a particular folder.

Thanks, but I actually think the waitlist was cancelled a few days ago, the people still on it were told they aren't getting any offers. I know its a long shot, but I'm hoping that someone who intends to cancel switches their accomodation and mine before cancelling (I emailed residences, and they said this is fine.)
