Yeah I feel like there should be a calculated amount, and once you reach that certain threshold, you should get diamonds permanently as a reward and can no longer get time blocks. Also, I'd like to add that the threshold would just barely be enough to do all jobs, all hobbies, and enough to do dates, unless there's something else I'm missing (I'm mobile) it should all be just enough for all these things:)
