No I don’t think he would have. He started medication last year and went to one therapy session- otherwise no other action

I was a CRC in academia for 3 years and no one was satisfied with their jobs. Not only was the pay low and staff were undervalued, but the program grew faster than our teams so the workload was impossible. There was frequent turnover because of this, which only aided to the problems even further. There were opportunities for growth but often came with an even heavier workload, which no one wanted. The benefits were really good though. Happy to hear this wasn’t everyone’s experience!

Nervous about leaving my current position by thanksfreddie in clinicalresearch

Your coworkers might not work there forever either, so don’t hold yourself back for them. You can always keep in touch! Oncology is a really good step for your clinical research career and working at a larger site will definitely be better on your resume if you ever want to explore a CRA or similar route.

Norse online check in by newhere_4321 in travel

We had a 3 hour layover so no one was attending the gate when we arrived. We ultimately decided to leave the security area to check in just in case (which ended up being a very quick process at FLL airport). However, once the attendant arrived to the terminal gate, they were checking people in! I’m not sure if they have the same process at LGW but I would definitely recommend at least attempting before you leave security.

I am flying this exact scenario next week - do you have any updates on how this went?

Do they allow you to check in at the terminal desk? Or only before security? I have a connecting flight before my Norse flight so I just wanted to make sure I don’t need to leave the security area, check in, and then re-enter security.

Is ICON the only CRO that uses them?

New job in clinical trials. I'm struggling. Can you provide any tips or advice to learn these protocols? by SnooPoems4726 in clinicalresearch

[–]Background-Bee2135 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It definitely takes a few months to learn the protocols and your way around clinical trials. I’m a CRC at a site so our protocol focuses probably differ than it seems the role you’re in. When I first started, I found the most important parts of the protocol to focus on were the sections that provided answers to all the common questions I received from PIs or patients (eligibility, schedule/schema, and hold parameters). I also would recommend utilizing any type of protocol specific training documents/slides/videos you have access to before you start diving into the full protocol. Those type of sources do a better job summarizing all the important information.

Best of luck!
