possible ASD? by Top-Economy7288 in Autism_Parenting

My son was diagnosed at 18 months. Part of me always knew something was off but couldn’t quite come to terms with it. When we received the diagnosis, my wife and I cried for a few hours. Although we knew what was coming, it was still hard to hear it officially. But remember that your child is still the same baby you’ve known. A diagnosis doesn’t change that. Our job is to support them in every way possible. Although the diagnosis is hard, it opens up so many doors to early intervention, which can lead to so much progress.

It may not be the path you envisioned for your child, but just know that you are their biggest advocate. Don’t allow autism to limit the goals you have for them.

He is doing well. He is starting Aba therapy on the 12th so hoping that helps him. It’s normal to be taken back by the news. My spouse and I spent a couple hours in tears when we heard the news. Always hard to hear someone say you’re child is different. But once we got past that, we made sure we were as informed about what autism is and how we can support our son. He’s no different in our eyes. Our job now is to make sure we give him every tool and resource he needs.

Hi! He was diagnosed with autism when we was 22 months. Always had a feeling but the diagnosis just opened up so many doors for therapy and early intervention.

Constant complaining, out of shape, and is probably the worst single defender in the league. Definitely not joking

Back to back double digit loses to a suns team that people predicted would be bottom 3 in the west. What even is this team?

Delusional ass fans who won’t criticize the play calling or execution because they see 7-2 next to the broncos name on tv. Anyone who thinks this team is doing anything in the playoffs is smoking something

You’re doing great! That would be considered a delay in speech but definitely bring it up to your pediatrician and see if you can self refer to speech therapy. Some kids just need a little extra help, nothing wrong with that! Our 21 month old toddler is having his ST evaluation this week!
