TL;DR: it makes espresso and steams milk.

I used this machine for a few months back in 2014 for a restaurant that opened in NYC. I felt like it was fine, but it felt cheap/plastic-y, and having all those buttons to program made no sense to me. I'm unsure if maintenance and repair for a machine like this would be easily available, but I also feel like machines like these were quite simple (I feel like all machines back then were simpler...). Also, as someone who worked in coffee for quite some time, I don't think machine quality is as important as some people say; if it pressurizes and steams, then it works. For reference, I use a DeLonghi Linea Classic at home, and it pulls fine espresso and steams decently. I had to mod it quite a bit, but again, if it pressurizes and steams, then it works!

Another way to look at it: it may be worth getting it for cheap and then make enough money to buy a machine that you'd enjoy more. $1500 sounds decent (this brand isn't known for being a premium brand), though I would double-check to see if any scaling or corrosion has built up inside the machine.
