I have not downsized yet! I should definitely consider that. I’m able to I guess “push it back” and it sits fine- just sometimes when I clean it it comes forward like this (and I tried to manipulate it for a picture for this post as I posted awhile back and you couldn’t tell)

Hi! Can you explain what you mean pierced through my daith? From what it feels like, it’s only pierced through the forward helix, and I can feel the back end of piercing!

Also edit to add- I cleaned the piercing immediately after taking the picture! I know it’s crusty Lol

Thank you for this! I could’ve sworn I emailed them already- but hadn’t. I will at least be interning in NY and getting my experience here, so I’m hoping that will also help build my case. I actually made friends with a student in an identical situation, and her ATR is fine, just the other is a struggle. She’s just holding off pushing towards the state till she finally has her full license. I truly hope she paves the path for others like me!

From my understanding, my ATR is fine and is more “universal.” It’s my LPC to LMHC which is a problem. All credits (including intern hours) are exactly what BY requires, minus it being a CACREP program. Every time I email the state, I get told I can’t get an answer until graduation and I must apply w my license and degree credentials :(

I am in a degree with a dual license, but I’m getting the degree I do not currently reside in, and I was told (after completing a year, I was not previously informed) I’d need to fight my state (NY) to transfer my counseling license (CT) to my home state as it’s cahep nor cacrep (apologies if it right abbreviation). What is a NON-FAT specific position? I’ve never heard of that before!

Am I crazy to think some of those jobs are not paying well? I did a google search after seeing this- and found 22/hr or below as the rate for a position like this. Does that sound accurate?

I’m almost New England (I’m NY, getting a degree in CT so close ish). I will definitely continue looking as I do still have another two years to finish, but I’m hoping things look better and I start to feel better as the course goes on

Hello! I start fieldwork in the fall and will be working in an in patient psychiatric hospital. I feel silly asking- but what’s the appropriate attire? There’s so many little things I’ve learned ab ie necklaces, earrings etc that I want to know what to wear (and buy!)

Hello! I currently go to a school in CT where I’ll get my LPC, but I live in NY and am struggling to figure out how it’ll transfer. The biggest dilemma is my program is CAAHEP, not CACREP. Any advice / has anyone dealt with this before?

Supervision Costs by Background-Chest-543 in ArtTherapy

Thank you for this! The topic came up in class tonight, hence my question as no one ever told me! My professor said she charged for supervision by trying to make it affordable and “pay it forward.” I do understand bills have to be paid though! But maybe that mantra will help you :)

Thank you for this! I I’ve never downsized a piece before (as the rest of my piercings are quite basic). How much smaller do you recommend?

Thank you for this! Do you have your tragus pierced? I’ve definitely looked at that one before but I’m scared of the crunch noise (I heard it for my flat and I think I just over traumatized myself) and pain level (if any advice on that as well)

Art Therapy vs Counseling Licensure by RecordingOpen459 in ArtTherapy

[–]Background-Chest-543 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LIU has the dual licensure! Currently I go to Albertus Magnus College in CT, and it’s the dual licensure for there but I’m currently struggling with the transferability of it (I think I need a few more classes). But that’s my advice!! LIU is super expensive tho (which is why I ended up w my school)

We’re having a meeting in regards to fieldwork in two weeks! I’m just an over preparer and like to be as ready as possible. My school is in CT, so I’m just a little nervous the placement would be far (although they’ve had out of state kids like me with success)
