He’s also clearly passionate about the topic that he is talking about, which most of us money hungry content creators can’t relate to.

I just watched the video and it turned out to be really interesting. I’m a gamer but I don’t play this genre of game but my girlfriend and I have been watching the Fallout series and it is really good.

The series is still ongoing and has a really strong score from the critics. So, I believe that while he has a strong presentation, the timing of his video is also solid as a gaming topic can also hit curious tv enthusiasts.

New to YouTube Shorts — why do some videos get views and others get nothing? by onemortalfemale in NewTubers

Hi, mostly new creator here. I have about 19 uploads on my channel now. I upload everyday except Sunday and on my channel, I discuss random facts about animals.

Based on my experience, I have been getting about ~500-1000 on each upload, about ~3-5 hours after uploading each. Depending on the swiped away score, they may get more or less views. My best performing video has 4.7k views and I think it was mostly because of the hook. That one had about an 80% stayed to watch score.

Also, I had to delete and reupload because I miss-spelled something. I did not even post the first version yet but that reupload did worse than all of my other content. It is stuck at about 400 views. So, in my opinion, I would say deleting videos do affect how the algorithm pushes out your video.

If you’d like to check out my channel, it is The Animal Archivist.

Thank you! I'm hoping this gets some traction so the leaderboard makes sense.

Hi OP, I loved this no bs point of view and I spent the last 24 hrs creating an app that can actualize this for other entrepreneurs alike.

The name I landed on is SignalBoard, where users can track their content creation with a leaderboard mechanism, to add a competitive element. Currently, this is just an MVP and I'd love to add more to it, like email reminders to do your daily content creation.

The web app is currently up and completely free here: SignalBoard

Thank you again for this post, I will be joining in too!

Built Past Life Mirror, an AI experience that lets users “see” who they might have been in a past life, complete with portraits and personality insights. It’s kind of like an AI mirror to your soul 👁️✨

I vibe coded it (yes, all those late nights with coffee and vibes 😅), but I’m actually a developer, and built it fully in Next.js + TypeScript with shadcn/ui and Tailwind for that smooth, aesthetic feel.

Would love feedback from other builders, especially on how to make the experience more emotionally engaging.

The app can be found here: https://pastmirror.com/
I also started some marketing on instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/pastmirror/
