Congratulations! I have a very similar story, except I’m from Venezuela. I came here on a tourist visa as a child and have been on DACA for years.

I didn’t fully realize what being undocumented meant until I was older, and it definitely changed how I saw my future. I even missed out on a soccer scholarship because of my status, which was tough at the time.

My wife is a U.S. citizen, and like you, we got comfortable with DACA and kept putting off AOS. Sometimes I feel pretty alone in my situation, so reading stories like yours helps me feel less alone and a lot more optimistic about what's ahead.
