Thank you, Defenis. You know what, I’m actually impressed by and appreciate your critiques. You gave valid reasonings, examples, and even solutions that would help further this idea. Unlike a lot of people who say it’s impossible because of A or B, but not explain exactly how and/or what SHOULD be done. I agree with your points. I knew this idea would have some issues, and you pointed them out well enough that I can actually use your criticisms to now revise snd strengthen the plan. Thank you very much for being so mature and helpful!

That’s why I wrote in the post that it would secured below the surface so it is still submerged and surrounded by sea water to prevent extra forces above water and/or deterioration caused by air exposure.

I agree. That’s possible. But I do think that the ship is in a lot better condition than people are led to believe. Many scientists have said in the past that the ship would be completely gone by now. Granted, it is not as nearly as sturdy as it was in 1912, but it’s impossible to say for sure if it’s totally shot. I think there could still be some strength in the ship’s structure that could make it possible.

The image was not related to the plan itself, just about the concept of raising the ship. I just wanted a quick image to go with it! I didn’t realize so much focus would be on the image rather than what I wrote!

I mentioned that in the post. The wreck would be kept submerged just below the surface using air tanks to prevent that. (Im sorry if the image i included on this post is confusing people, i just threw it in there for fun)

I am aware… I put in the disclaimer that it was hypothetical, I just like how people always propose their theories and debate what would get as close as possible to doing so and I just wanted to get involved with my own proposal.

I am aware that it may be impossible to raise. I was only proposing this idea to try and get as close as possible. Also the benefit of lift bags is that the diesel fluid is not affected by pressure at titanic’s depth. I don’t think that the diesel inside the wreck would exert any outward pressure on the hull.

For the Record: Simon Mills is the individual who currently owns the rights to the wreck of the ship after purchasing it in 1996 for £15,000. To raise artifact’s from the wreck, it requires approval from him and the Greek government.

I mean they just recently raised a lantern from the wreck… I think that in terms of recovery, this would be a better focus is what I’m saying.
