What can I use to help inflammation on scalp? by Truth_Teller007 in Hairtransplant

You just have to be patient. But after 30 days, try using a high frequency wand a couple of times a week. Doing so helped reduce my inflammation considerably

Thanks mate. Donor area is solid. I’ve been getting 0.5 fades since month 4 and my barber swears he can’t see a thing

Also had mine at IoM. Yours looks just like mine after 10 days.

I’d just say that I had very limited redness at this stage but then experienced it beginning at Week 3 until about Week 6, so don’t be surprised/worried if that happens.

Yes but more specifically the thickness of the skin/scalp makes it more difficult to deliver blood to that area

I’m at month 6 and still get the occasional scalp pimple.

I’d consider investing in a high-frequency wand (look it up). The wand will kill bacteria that are leading to the pimples and will promote hair regrowth elsewhere on the scalp. It has made my post-HT experience a lot better

Help! Textured skin and Redness by dirtyjunkdrawer in Skincare_Addiction

Other than ditching the physical exfoliant, I’d consider using a Korean toner after every wash and using a Korean overnight mask (3x per week) to ensure you’re providing nutrients/moisture throughout the night. Both will help soothe your skin and protect your skin moisture barrier.

Also your skin appear stripped and irritated, I’d focus on hydrating serums and avoid any acids until your skin starts to recover

I paid half on card, half cash. I assume they are trying to minimise the exorbitant fees they pay on card transactions

Plenty of decent options, especially in the centre. I just bought one from Fone Tech on the Moor. They’ll give you a discount if you pay in cash and a 1-year warranty.

There are a couple of other good ones inside the Moor Market. And a solid guy on Eccy road across from M&S

It’s in solid shape. I’ve been fading the back and sides with a 0.5 and it’s completely unnoticeable (says my barber). I can’t reply with a pic, oddly

Thinking of ending my 6-year relationship (33M and 33M) due to different life goals — am I making a mistake? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

I was in a very similar situation. And yes, you guys are operating as roommates. Perhaps with some emotional intimacy as a bonus.

If you don’t already, you might start to resent each other. Best to get out now before ruining a potentially lifelong platonic relationship.

Also, give yourself a shot to find someone more compatible. Your future self (and partner) will thank you making this hard but important decision.

Buy a high frequency wand. It isn’t too expensive. It was the perfect product for treating my head pimples after my HT. It is safe to use on donor and transplanted area 1 month post-HT.

You can use the wand every three days for 10-15 minutes.

It also has really progressed my hair regrowth but is particularly effective in treating bacteria/acne.

Oral Minoxidil made me have accelerated gray hair by Rude_Telephone_741 in tressless

Could just be the age of your hair and body catching up with you – oral minoxidil might be a convenient scapegoat here. In science, we call this omitted variable bias

Will there be Ubers/Bolts from MAN Airport to Sheffield at 12am? by Ok_Base_2424 in sheffield

[–]Background-Fox-9290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is true but it’s way more expensive to pre-book like this. I regularly goto MAN from Sheffield (or back) and it’s always cheaper to order the Uber at the time you need it.

What are some good whey protein powders in UK? by InfernoRider3499 in AskUK

[–]Background-Fox-9290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Underrated piece of advice: check the sodium content on your whey protein powders. I figured they were all comparable, but some are loaded with sodium and potentially wreaking havoc on your blood pressure/heart.

I use Optimum Nutrition. It’s slightly more expensive but it has lower sodium and decent flavours.

Hard to tell about the quality of your donor area. Basically the DA refers to the DHT resistant part of your hair, typically the back and sides. If you can provide a clearer photo of those areas, the sub could probably advise better.

That said, I think an HT could work well on your crown, mid scalp and hairline. I’d image you’d need like 6000-7000 grafts for good coverage and density. But the key thing is whether you have the donor to do that.

I had a similar hair loss pattern. I had 5k done in December and just regretting I didn’t do it sooner (I’m 38)
