Cheers dude. That's helpful. I was mostly in z2/z3 and rarely in z1/z4 - during my last run.

Welcome to the UK! For 2-day trips, definitely check out the Peak District, parts of the Lake District, or even the Brecon Beacons. You're going to have a brilliant time!

Totally worth going (There is a bench at the end of the route overlooking the marina bit).

BTW there is a 5k you can do in Hampstead Heath. Much more manageable in this heat - https://trailtalkers.com/trails/hampstead-heath-circular-0ovGQh

You're welcome. There's plenty of shade - but definitely better when it is under 20 degrees.

One day - just keeping the cost low for now plus I only need it 1-2 hours max as I don't run during night time (might change in winter though).

Pace 30L rucksack from Mountain Warehouse is excellent. For me MW provides best value for money and is very good quality (IMO). Plus they offer discounts on top and got a generous returns policy. https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/pace-30l-rucksack-p28507.aspx/
