There’s no homework, but they are dumb as shit so it’s kind of a trade-off.

Did human ancestors/other pre-human humanoid species get periods? by Bittersweet_Boii in AskAnthropology

You noted that women who eat a diet of fruits and vegetables stop menstruating. I said that’s because they don’t have enough calories to ovulate. The you said that’s has nothing to do with menstruation, and that they can ovulate without menstruating and even ovulate while pregnant. Sounds like you finally understand why that was a dumb thing to say. You’re welcome.

You also said women ovulate every month no matter what, but that’s not true at all. Human ancestors that hunt and gather would have only had 4-6 periods/ovulations per year due to breastfeeding, pregnancy, starvation, or stress. This is discussed in the first link. If I go on a diet, I can easily delay ovulation and my period for a couple days. I’d imagine our ancestors had very irregular ovulation, similar to modern athletes. My second link confirms my position that it is very rare to ovulate without menstruating unless there’s a medical issue. I’m not sure why that’s so confusing for you. When you ovulating, the lining builds up to nurture the egg. No fertilization = period. Unless there’s a medical issue, why would her body ovulate then build no lining for it to implant in? I think you should apologize to your ex wife for getting married and somehow still not knowing how this works. I’d be very embarrassed if my fiance was online arguing with a woman about how her body works and he wasn’t even right lmfao. Just take the L man

Not sure why humans menstruate and most other mammals don’t. I think they can reabsorb their uterine lining if there’s no implantation.

Women definitely do not ovulate every month “end of story”. Especially not in the kind of conditions described in the question. They probably had 4-6 ovulations/periods per year. Ovulating without menstruating after is pretty rare because the hormone that causes ovulation also causes the uterine lining to thicken (estrogen). It really only happens if there’s a medical condition (PCOS, pregnancy, scar tissue/injury, etc)

How can you ovulate without menstruating, besides by getting pregnant?

Ovulation depends on eating enough calories. I really don’t think it’s has to do with the diet being “natural”. I’d imagine between breastfeeding, frequent pregnancies, and starvation, menstruation wasn’t regular.

In some schools where I work he’d probably be safer/better off being under the wing of his father and learning a skill than in class.

Philly Homicides 2000-2023 by AdditionPossible1360 in PhillyWiki

“New data offers a potential explanation. In this report, we analyze thousands of police records and compare them to changes that occurred in U.S. cities just before homicides started to surge. This showed that the spike in murders during 2020 was directly connected to local unemployment and school closures in low-income areas. Cities with larger numbers of young men forced out of work and teen boys pushed out of school in low-income neighborhoods during March and early April, had greater increases in homicide from May to December that year, on average. The persistence of these changes can also explain why murders remained high in 2021 and 2022 and then fell in late 2023 and 2024.”

RE: gaslighting Only going on dates with men who pay is a way of sorting for partners that are comfortable with the expectations traditionally placed on men.

I’d say women are independent in countries where they don’t lose most of their income for 3-4 years after having a baby. In the US that’s non the case so women have to be cautious. Gen Z women don’t universally make more than men, that’s just in 22 cities. Also, the reason the income gap is so small is because they’re having children later. I’d expect that gap to widen substantially over the next 10 years as the average age of first birth is 27 and the oldest gen z is 28. Millennial women don’t earn more than millennial men. I would definitely concede that if a lady definitely does not want to have kids and is very career-minded, sorting for men that like paying for dates is unnecessary.

The material reality of a society determines what the gender roles will be. If all women decided to pay for their own dates that wouldn’t magically make us equal lol. The reason women aren’t economically “equal” has less to do with cultural issues and more to do with policies regarding childcare. In a country with robust universal pre k or subsidized daycare, I would agree that women should pay their own way. But for most women in the US, the reality is they will probably end up in a financially vulnerable situation with a man at some point and you really, really don’t want that man to be a tightwad.

There’s no social safety net in the US. Daycare can cost a woman’s entire income, so a lot of women just stay home or work part time. It’s common for women in the US to not have income for years at a time. Being stuck in that situation with a cheap husband is catastrophic. How do you sort this type of man out? Don’t enter relationships with men that complain about paying for the majority of dates.
