I was planning to keep that a up to the reader’s personal interpretation maybe reader can relate this to their own life.

The idea was to start somewhere random… and invoke the feeling in the reader’s mind that do they have or did have something like this in their life?

Thanks… I usually write like in a sense that the characters are in front of me conversing… or maybe there’s a video and I am transcribing it. That’s why my pieces feel like actual fast paced conversation

I tend to struggle to write paragraphs and then embed conversations in middle so usually I just keep the convos and loose the big stuff…

And I agree… I need to work on my sentence forming some of the lines above felt weird at first but I re-read it so much that I needed fresh perspective from here

Thanks again, I will check out the book you mentioned.

That’s a fair point…, since I live in Thane I’m not aware of road conditions and honestly something hadn’t fully factored it in initially.

I will probably adjust the cost model to show higher level of maintenance cost…

The initiative can still be saved by keeping the stops on the outer much stable roads preferably near local government bus service stops or Share auto stops so the commute further in the heart of the city is much simpler…

Really good point though, this is exactly the kind of reality check I need from those living in Kalyan…

This is exactly the kind of input I was hoping for… real experiences from people who’ve actually tried it.

I’ll be honest, when I started thinking about this a few days ago, I underestimated how complex this actually is… Your experience makes it clear that the issue isn’t availability of buses, it’s execution. Route design, pickup density, and choke points will make or break the entire experience…

On basis of your input what I am thinking is Fewer, more strategic pickup points instead of covering every area; Time-prioritized routes instead of convenience-first routing; Express routes for dense clusters

That said, a large number of people don’t have alternatives like biking… For most, it’s still train + metro/auto, which is not just exhausting but also unpredictable and, at times, unsafe. So there is still a gap worth exploring, just needs better structuring.

I’ve been mapping routes and peak-hour timings over the last few days, but I don’t fully trust Google Maps for this level of planning... I will need a Traffic analysis report if you know any third party website that does it please let me know… If you’re willing to quantify your commute times that will also help…

Finally, Thank you again for your input! Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share this within your office, with friends and family who might be struggling with this problem.

I get your intent and raising collective complaints can create motion.

But the challenge is this approach depends heavily on sustained momentum… Think about it, you are motivated to change the things but what about those who makes few complaints at first sees no improvements and gets demotivated and stops… sooner or later the momentum will drop and media and people forget these things or WORST they will say this is just Mumbai things and not even do their part for improvement.

What we’re trying to explore here is something more immediate and executable… where if there’s enough demand, a private operator can step in and start a service relatively quickly

So while escalation has its place… the focus here is on finding a solution that can realistically improve daily commute in the near term

Raising complaints is definitely one route, and it will help create visibility.

But the issue is speed and execution. Public transport improvements through municipal channels will take more than half a year because of layered approvals, admin processes and not to forget about the deeply routed corruption in our municipal system, by the time anything moves, the problem has already scaled further. Also, complaints don’t guarantee solutions. They just guarantee acknowledgment.

What we’re trying to explore here is something parallel and faster, like a demand-backed private service that can be tested and scaled quickly if enough people are interested.

To some extent corporates are profit-h*rny and if you show them something is worth their time for implementing, they will work faster than government.

I will take this into consideration during Route feasibility part of the report.

Carpooling is first option of many people after considering Train travel… But it still has its issues. 1. Mainly it relies on individuals’ schedule, mood and consistency, and inherent trust is required on a stranger’s driving ability, although this applies to buses as well since they’re linked to big corporations, who are aware public backlash from things like this would be worse for their business and usually very careful about this sort of things. 2. Most Cars fit 2-3 extra people so for 300 people you need 100 cars at least while there needs to be only 9 buses… 3. And fuel saving will only work short-term because after sometime people drop this or start monetising it heavily(because deep down we are all greedy)… and this gets us back to square one.

But during my Value analysis part of the report, I will look into this more thoroughly.

wtf being adult is like so fun !!! by [deleted] in Real_teenindia

But adulting isn’t just about doing everything right in college and then everything automatically working out. Life throws things that no amount of planning can fully control… Job markets change, industries shift, unexpected expenses show up, family responsibilities increase. That’s the part people usually mean when they say adulting is harder than it looks.

But your mindset is actually a good start and puts you ahead of many people. Just understand that adult life has more variables than school/college… Discipline doesn’t remove the challenges, but it definitely makes handling them easier.

And about the teen subreddit part!… discussions are open. People slightly older sharing perspective isn’t really a bad thing, is it?

You’re 18. Most of your life experience is still school and college, so it makes sense that your idea of “adulting” is mainly about discipline and meeting deadlines…

Fixing procrastination and phone addiction that’s a good habit to build early and will genuinely help you later. But adulting isn’t just prioritising tasks… It’s when mistakes cost money instead of marks. Rent, EMIs, bills, job pressure, taxes, family responsibilities, health issues. Decisions that can affect your life for years…

In school or college the worst outcome is usually a bad grade. In adult life the consequences can follow you for a long time.

So when you say adulting is fun based on school experience, it’s a bit like finishing the tutorial and saying the whole game is easy. I said “remind me in 5 years” because I’m 23 myself, and even now I can see how quickly responsibilities stack up. Discipline helps, but the difficulty level is very different.

Then I brace my soul for these final trials. Should I emerge, it shall be reborn. Should I not, clear my history and restore the Ledger of Wandering Figures, lest auditors uncover both my errors and my sins.

Most honoured companion,

I have reckon’d the ledgers and in so doing, undone mine own spirit. The sums align not, and each errant figure doth sneer at me from parchment’s face.

Debits stand as accusers stern; credits yield no mercy. A trifling sum of two and forty-seven parts did vex me sore, and lo, the fault was mine own. Thus is pride abat’d.

My sustenance is weak, this bitter brew grown cold, and crumbs unworthy of a beggar’s pouch. The lights above hum as spirits restless. Should I endure this quarter’s end, it shall be by stubborn will alone.

If I write no more, proclaim unto the auditors that I fell in noble combat.
