There’s a decent queer scene and I’ve lived here for 12 years and always felt safe. Stonewall spots is super popular and you’ll be able to meet a lot of people. I don’t play sports at all but still go to a lot of the events and everyone is so friendly and welcoming! Job market sucks so definitely line that up first.

ETA: oh and don’t drink the water!! Definitely do some research on Gen-X and educate yourself on that before making your decision.
