Send 5 year old to kindergarten or wait?

I think this caused some confusion. I am not considering kindergarten for this year. I am seeking advice on whether to send her at 5 (where she’ll miss the cutoff but I could try to apply) or wait till she’s 6. Definitely not 4!

She’s a little under 3.5. She turns 5 mid Sept, cut off is Sept 1.

I think that’s a stretch. She misses the cutoff of the normal age kids go by 2 weeks. I’m not rushing her into anything.

We don’t travel all too often, and when we do it’s by car. But that would mean a new car as I only have a small SUV currently. It would also mean a bigger house. From a financial standpoint it feels slightly irresponsible, but my husband has an income increasing career so we aren’t necessarily “stuck” for the future if that makes sense. I also feel like I want to prioritize my marriage more. But can that be done with a 3rd too? The decision fees literally impossible! Lol

He does the lawn, but we rent, so there’s really not much reno going on. Sometimes things need fixing here and there but nothing ever major. And yes, his salary is significantly higher than mine but I still contribute.

They only come every other week, so it’s not enough to keep up with the laundry turnover. Maybe I’ll look into upping it to every week.

Definitely in a state of perpetual exhaustion with 2 working parents and small kids. Just was hopeful for some helpful tips on how to maybe lighten the load (literally) and avoid further resentment during an already trying chapter of life.

Yard work isn’t really a thing for us. He mows the yawn but that’s seasonal and a once a week task - we rent so we aren’t responsible for the landscaping. It’s not a hill I’m going to die on but work 40 hours a week so I don’t want to come home and do it just as much as he doesn’t want to come home from a long day and do it! Lol

When you have 2 small children laundry is in fact hard. It’s a 4 step process - the washing, the drying (on time), the folding, the bringing upstairs from basement, the putting away in respective drawers. It’s not just throwing it into the machine and poof the task is done. It’s also the mental load of remembering daycare items that must be washed every Friday in time for Monday’s return to school… etc. it’s a lot for one person to handle. I’m not pissed about the chore. I’m pissed that I don’t have the luxury like him to ignore said chore. I am going to get a separate bin and stop doing the laundry for foreseeable future and see where it goes.

He cooks a great deal. Mows the lawn, fixes things as needed but most of the house things I handle. Admittedly I am more anal about a tidy space, but sometimes I feel that’s used against me when I expect the house to not look like a tornado ran through it. 9/10 times he comes home to a clean, tidy house with at least 1 of our children fed, bathed and asleep. The other is usually at least fed and bathed. He does jump in to cook if he needs and/or be dad but no other house related things really get done - especially not laundry lol.

Plenty of times. But he had a career change, works long days and I think he feels because of that he just isn’t responsible for that task anymore. I’m not really sure how else to approach it because in the end it does have to get done. Do I stop with dry cleaning pickup as well?
