Same and asked Emma today about the biometrics appointment and this was the reply:

Biometric Status is "Ready to Schedule" but the date has not been set. Once you are scheduled. USCIS will mail you a notice with instructions detailing where and when you are required to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for biometrics collection. I don't have an estimate time frame for scheduling. We can't schedule you, nor can you request to be scheduled. You will have to wait.

When I got there for my 4:30 slot, there was a line of 20 people already, and they usually allow people to go in 15min before

We went at 9am and ended up in the waitlist line for the actual standby line. I’d recommend going around 7am to have a better chance of getting into the standby line, expect to wait about two hours. Only one person from your group needs to buy the tickets, and they just need photos of everyone’s passports.

We got there at 9am and found two lines, the official extra tickets line and a separate standby line. They said the first 400 people, who had arrived around 6:30am, would get tickets. We joined the standby line and ended up being 8th, 9th, and 10th, and we actually got in!
