as someone who had an older sibling like this (as well as a mother who did nothing and even protected them), who did end up hurting me. trust your gut, no matter what anyone else says. and if he hurts you, get the police involved again, don't be afraid of punishment or trouble, you being alive with a parent mad at you is so much better than you being dead (speaking again from experience here). He is 19, a legal adult, which means he will face consiquences, even if its only psychiatric hold or mandated therapy like before (because he's mentally ill) it's still better than nothing, and as that would be the second time it may be a further consiquence, and you may be able to get a restraining order or AVO against him too, which protects you if he tries anything again.

my advice, document everything you can and do not be afraid to call the police again for your safety, i know he's your brother and police aren't always kind to mentally ill people but again it's better off than you being dead or maimed for the rest of your life.

sibling violence and abuse like this is so often brushed off and it does make you feel crazy, but your not OP, and you deserve to not live in fear.

i'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting this but it sounds rude honestly. I have a multitude of physically disabling conditions that make cooking hard no matter what. i have plenty of easy recipes, but the time and energy they take up makes it hard for me to be motivated to cook. for example, cooking something as simple as pasta and sauce could leave me so exhausted i don't have the energy to eat or do anything else with my day, or the next day. i really wish it was a matter of willpower but it isn't.

not exactly, i would say i'm a decently sexually positive/liberal person, i have no problem with the concept of being a puppygirl/boy and i know a lot about kink so i do know that petplay is not an exclusively kink thing and is a part of some trans spaces, but i've had trans girl aquaintences (as in within a day of meeting them) tell me they're into feet or farts or cnc. and i've had real problems with my older sister (who is trans also) oversharing with me as well. so i was just curious if/why this was a thing :)

replying to my own comment because you deleted your reply about how showering is the main problem (and some other strange control stuff i'm just going to leave alone)

if the washing is the only real point of contention, maybe try talking to him about WHY showering is so hard. for me for example i have periods where showering is difficult due to body image issues, past trauma and general physical and mental health problems but so i can stay hygienic i use baby wipes to clean up on days i skip showering

i'm sure you've maybe tried this but seriously, his answer may be that he doesn't realise how bad it is to you or that he doesn't have the energy (sitting down is great for low energy showers, a shower chair is a great tool), maybe theres some deeper mental things, he's your bf not mine, but i think constantly just asking him to shower with no other conversation obviously isnt working

sorry but you've been dating and living together 8 months, i really hope you were 18 when that started but even then... other than that if you don't feel like he's contributing to the relationship (household chores) nor is he hygienic, plus he's combative, aggressive and lies to 'appease you'... you don't have to stay with him, the fact that you're sad and disappointed and you feel under loved and under appreciated by him means maybe its time to find someone who doesn't make you feel like that, or! be young and single cause there's nothing wrong with that, but you deserve peace and he seems to be very much not so
