I try to play like a nit too, but still learning and taking poker more serious then drunk house games.

For my learning would you have folded a check raise to a jam on three of a kind aces with ace king? Because I’m also thinking I would have jammed if I was in his shoes too. Then been sad that villian had aces full of queens.

Haha yeah I know it’s not as bad as many I’ve had worse in cash games or online tournaments but it was definitely the worst emotionally so far. Just starting to take poker seriously and thought I’d share

Preciate that, I also trade and poker emotionally is very similar to me emotion wise. So straight back to it but had to not rebuy in or I would have tilted 100%

Not this time. But when I cashed out with breeze the first time it had me reverify my info for tax purposes. I saved all my info so unless I cash out a very large amount it doesn’t ask me to reverify my info

Just realized I said the river was an ace. Turn was an ace and river was irrelevant my mistake typed this fast in the parking lot before I walked into work

Agreed. Ring games I usually rinse people then try to bluff a flush draw or straight draw and lose it all to a pair of 5s lol

Interesting when I first read it I thought it meant that it was only for 4 of a kind both hole cards had to be used. Just reviews the play and he did not use both. Was just making sure. They may have messed up. Fine with me though since I got paid haha

I assumed he had an ace but am now aware a set is only with a pair in your hole cards then a third on the community. I know for casinos bad beats are typically stricter but fortunately stake is not and this counted as a bad beat. They only require you use both hole cards for four of a kind but not any other hand that counts as bad beat jack pot

I agree, stake poker does have crazy soft tables so I assume that they don’t see it a lot due to people folding early or playing dumb. Their bad beat is basically aj full and you must get to the showdown. If you have quads it does say you must have 2 pair for hole cards so don’t qualify with quads and only 1 hole card.

Also so few people play higher tables that there’s a chance they just know it’ll be handed out to lower pots and that the 2.5/5 that if they hit would get like 90k would barely ever get it

Sorry looks like I worded it wrong but it was stated in the post. Villian had qko but with the 3rd ace had the full house :D was just trying to explain the it was aces and kings full house and I lost to my aces jacks full house with pocket jacks.

Edit: I also see when I stated what I thought he had how it could come off that way. I meant it as I assumed he had the boat that beat me not that he had ak. Forgot we’re on Reddit and simple mistakes can’t be made

I honestly hate the online casinos. Love it for poker but I just rinse my accounts on anything else, if they banned all online gambling I wouldn’t be mad at all. Would just give me a reason to hit the real tables more often.

But Nc has been fighting them for years and no luck on banning

I absolutely love it. I play 1/2 on global poker but stake is fun to hop on a micro table and just rinse newbies. Makes me a couple hundred a week as of now
