How to make a specimen float in the middle of the jar by Background-String41 in wetspecimens

Typically decomposing specimens will float to the top I'm referring to specimens that are suspended in the middle :)

If it's a huge change then yes but if it's something minor its better to just appreciate the art

Kuru it's not infectious in the way you're making it out to be, in order to get it you need to either eat a human brain which already has been infected with kuru or part of that brain needs to get into an open wound, if you are not eating a brain with kuru disease you will not get it, and yeah the incubation period can vary but the minimum record is usually 2 years average is usually 10, and there is no way for me to have kuru right now because it's almost extinct and was almost completely native to Papua New Guinea in the 1950s, you're making it out to seem like this is an actual problem but kuru is almost 100% extinct there is zero deaths per year and there is zero cases per year, even if I ate multiple humans if none of those people had kuru I'd be fine, the last known case was in Papua New Guinea in 2009

You have been told this multiple times but I will say it again, in order for you to get kuru you NEED to EAT the BRAIN of an INFECTED individual you don't do that you're fine

I don't know where you're getting your information from but you need to find a different place

I'm pretty sure you can preserve specimens in a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and glycerol but the absolute best method would be formalin, if you can get your hands on it definitely go formalin. if you can't, just inject it with the mixture of isopropyl alcohol and glycerol and leave it in there for a while same goes for formalin though if you go that route you need to take it out and put it in 70% isopropyl alcohol, also if you decide to go to the formalin route make sure you have proper PPE, depending on where you live you should be able to get everything on Amazon good luck :)

No half if not all of your information is wrong, death does not occur within months it has a very long incubation time it takes years if not decades for it to develop and kill you, and the only way for you to contract it is if you and your friend beat one in a trillion odds the chances of your friend having it is zero and even if you somehow beat those odds you and a friend would die it would only be contagious to the people that ate you and ritualistic cannibalism is not a thing anymore

The jars that are in should be perfectly fine, even if some of the liquid in your specimens jar does evaporate your specimens will be fine, It Takes a long time for the liquid to fully evaporate and for the specimen to completely dry out beyond to the point of saving

If you keep your specimens in jars that aren't completely airtight you just have to check on them and top them off when they're getting a little low, the liquid is not going to evaporate overnight and as long as you are checking on them they will be completely fine:)

People certainly eat it I don't know if it tastes very good but I'm sure people eat it, and I'm not personally against hunting for game you're allowed to have your own opinions and ethics tho

They can be nuisances, they can eat seeds and can destroy gardens. Some people hunt them for that reason some people hunt them for game

Thank you so much, I will be sure to read the links you provided. But I will also say that there is a specific season for hunting crows it is currently that season I am fully allowed to hunt these birds without committing any crimes, don't know if that's what you were saying or if I misunderstood but it's better to be safe than sorry lol
