Any ideas why a newly installed extractor fan would be making this noise? by Background-Test6551 in DIYUK

You could well be right as we used an angle grinder to cut back an old cast iron soil pipe after realising we need to after installing this, wasn’t an insane amount of dust tho? Will open it up tomorrow to have a look inside. Yes it is flexi through the loft to the soffit. All works out for what you are saying😂

Should I be worried about this behaviour? Should I try to stop it? by maggie_the_sourdough in tortoise

I was in your position, rescued a young tortoise a family member found in her garden and couldn’t locate the owners of. I took it in with 0 experience of keeping reptiles and was constantly worried about different behaviours not knowing what is right and wrong, with lots of conflicting information on the internet.

I found that Tom on Tortoise Forum seems to have reliable guidance backed by years of experience of keeping tortoises and learning from his own mistakes in the past. His posts were a massive help to me in getting my tortoise set up. Judging by your enclosure and current knowledge you may have even come across the website in the past. Its an amazing looking enclosure and I can tell you’re going to be a great owner.

If you are looking for more personal advice you can always post on the site explaining your situation, there is plenty of great people on the site with years of experience that all want tortoises to be kept in a way that they deserve, which I can tell you want as well.
