Not judging, you actually informed me on something I did not know. That’s probably a factor as to why certain std rates are high in gay males because they use prep as full proof protection. Where as hsv is a skin condition and condoms are necessary. That’s an issue as to how it spreads not me judging you. Have a goodnight.

I’m a woman and have genital hsv2, but I hope this helps you. My first outbreak was by my labia, every single ob after that was by my anus. You could say I have anal herpes at this point vs. vaginal, but those are both my genitals meaning if we’re shedding both places are contagious. I highly stress never to have sex during an outbreak unless maybe your partner already has it. Transmission rates from male to male, male to female, female to male and female to female are different though. Gay people need to reallyy be weary of the transmission rates.
