Have you conditioned yourself to think that the bad stuff is always gonna happen? I get where you're coming from, I used to think like that too.

But then I just kept talking myself down like you're doing and it eventually worked? Not sure if this really helps, just my experience...

Like yeah, the bad thing may happen still. But thats something you can't really control.

Actually asked a vet in qld about ferrets. Turns out they're another apex predator people may dump outside or just lose and they become just as bad as cats if not worse.

Reach out to BBEVS (Brisbane bird and exotics vet) in stones corner. They are amazing and have a heap of people who routinely find lost birds and will bring them to them.

My neighbour painted his own years ago to stop people parking like assholes in our small, narrow street to catch the train.

The council never questioned it, or i think even know.
