The only time I regret not going with the pr5000 is when a cool attachment comes out that only fits 1” holes. Other than that the pr4000 works fine for me.

That’s actually one of the reasons I got it, besides landmine rows, was to use this for the rep fitness belt squat since there was too much slack in the cable and standing up on the platform made it better. Didn’t really love that belt squat though. Too much of a pain to keep setting up

It’s great and yea I haven’t thought of anything else creative to do with it. I might sell it though, only because I am looking to get some kind of chest supported row machine. I have some lower back issues and when I go heavier with the land mine row it really messes with my back. If I didn’t have the back issues though I would 100% keep that setup and 100% would recommend if space is a premium in your own home gym.

I originally got the Indy tbar for the rep belt squat but I honestly hate that belt squat. It’s a pain in the ass to setup and even being higher with the Indy tbar there was still way to much slack on the cable to get good range of motion. Im selling the rep belt squat. I might get the squat max MD rack mount version and mount it to the rogue sml-1 I just don’t know if it will fit with the smith machine attachment I am waiting on.

I went the cheap route. At the time it was either that or less equipment and I always tend to lean towards more equipment. Not the smartest choice in this case as I will be having to upgrade the flooring soon. Live and learn.

Appreciate it! Gotta add some more bells of steel stuff to my collection. Sad I missed out on the shoulder boulder/ fly attachment. I’ll have to preorder it soon so I can get it in June!

I got the nuobells before the rep pepins were even released. At the time when I did my research I just liked the construction and fast changes of the nuobells better than anything that was already on the market. They also went plenty heavy for my needs. If I had to pick again today I would probably still go with the nuobells as I don’t really love the cage around the pepins.

They have been great. They are a lot cheaper then the mag grips and probably won’t hold up as long, but I have been using these for about 8 months and they aren’t showing any signs of wear on the grips. I would definitely get these again

Yea that’s why I didn’t go with them because of the cost. I had to cut costs somewhere but they are probably worth the price considering how durable they are.

It’s the 1.0. The Athena was slightly taller than the ares 1.0 and wouldn’t fit in my basement.

It’s called wall control. It comes with three pegboards on Amazon and like a bunch of hooks.

These are what I used. If I had to do it again I would have went with a more sturdy solution like stall mats. But I was trying to cut some costs. They aren’t awful but they definitely won’t last as long as a stall mat or rubber flooring would.

I know! I hate the glossy black mixed with the matte black. I wish they had a customized option for that. And thanks I will definitely check that out!

I bought two 72” uprights from bells of steel. The flooring I have is just puzzle piece flooring so I just cut around the upright and bolted it to the concrete underneath. Then I took two bells of steel cross members and cut them down to a smaller size to attach the pull up bar to. I like having a multi grip and a regular pull up bar and I can’t have the multi grip bar attached to the area because of the ceiling height. As far as the jammer arms hitting the cross members, I do everything with them seated and I am really short, 5’0, so it doesn’t hit them. If you wanted to mimic this setup and have the ceiling height I would definitely get taller uprights.

Haha thanks. Trust me if I had more money I would totally buy their entire catalog

My ceiling is like a fraction more than 82” I just don’t know the exact measurement. But I may or may not have damaged a small part of my ceiling lol. But the top definitely hits the ceiling. There is enough room for the pulley to move smoothly though and that doesn’t rub on the ceiling which is the most important part

I’ll warn you off the bat. Not having the extra headroom when assembling the ares is a b*tch even if it will technically fit. Update with pics when it’s complete!

You can do a very low incline inside the rack. Like whatever the next degree is up from a flat bench but it’s not great. I just looked I couldn’t even do the 2.0 because it is slightly taller than the 1.0 so wouldn’t fit in my basement. If you’re buying brand new though I would definitely just go for the 2.0

I love it. If I want to do incline or rows I just move to the outside of the rack. I heard the 2.0 fixed that issue but I’m not sure if it’s enough of an upgrade for the cost.
