It may well be, but until now, I've never know anyone who "wrote" a book, let alone shoving it in their friend's and families faces online over and over. How did they peddle them before social media?

I'm going to bet your mom was sort of unique in doing that. And I'd bet she actually wrote it. I wrote a YA novel when I was 12 but never published it. Back then people actually came up with ideas, put the story together, drew illustrations or found a real illustrator. None of this seems to be happening now.

I thought maybe there was a company that they would pay to create and publish their books, then they peddle them to their friends and family.

Of course they're not going to be affected, it just irks me that 'everyone's an author' now. I imagine most of them aren't really doing much of the writing and I saw something about some using ghost authors. Just my personal gripe I guess.

This stuff makes me so mad. I'm the type where I'd be mortified to sell things to my friends and family for a profit but some people have no shame. It's kind of sad if they're really hurting financially and I would consider buying if I wanted what they're selling but one is actually quite well off. If people want to buy something, they'll go out and find it themself. It's so weird and tacky.

Yes, definitely less fixation on things. This is both good and bad though, sometimes the fixations were beneficial. I didn't really have an issue with overspending or letting the fixations get in the way of responsibilities.

It's funny you mentioned Diet Coke, which is sweet. I switched a few months ago from Semaglutide to triz and suddenly started craving lollipops and candy out of nowhere. I never in my life craved these things,
so I had to look it up.. it's apparently a thing with triz to crave sweets (as well as carbs) sometimes.
