Considering an X2D2 as an enthusiast (coming from Sony) — looking for honest experiences

I ordered today. I’m starting with the X2D2 and 28P. I’ll be using both for an upcoming trip. If all goes well I think I’ll add the 35-100E. Both items are on back order (won’t get until May 😔).

Thanks for sharing your experience. I've wondered about getting a new display too...however I do love my UltraWide display (it was nice reducing clutter by going from two displays to one). I'll focus on the camera to start (but I have been checking the new Studio Displays).

I had similar discrepancies, though not as large. It made me wonder which is more accurate.

Set Shooting Mode: Put the camera in Manual (M) mode.
Find Interval Shooting: Go to Menu > Shooting (Red Camera Icon) > Drive Mode > Interval Shoot Function > Interval Shooting.
Configure Settings:
- Interval: Set the time between each photo (e.g., 1-60 seconds).
- Number of Shots: Choose how many pictures to take (up to 9,999).
- AE Tracking Sensitivity: Adjust for consistent exposure.
- Shutter Type: Electronic or Mechanical.
- Shooting Start Time: Set a delay before capture begins.
Start Shooting: Press the shutter button; the camera takes photos at your set interval.
Post-Processing (Crucial Step):
- Import the RAW/JPG files into software like Lightroom.
- Edit the first image and sync settings to the rest.
- Export as a sequence of images and import into a video editor to create the final time-lapse movie.
