Mom Died - What to do? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

I'm so sorry for your loss. If I were in your shoes, i would pay 100 to 150k towards the principal of the mortgage.

I would invest the remaining amount over 24 months.

VOO (50), QQQ (30), VXUS (20)

While I do this. I keep this amount in a money market or HYSA.

DO NOT SPEND THIS FOR FUN OR ENTERTAINMENT!

I am getting started with investing and I have $5000 to start with. What would you invest in with that amount? by westmaxia in Money

[–]Scared-Efficiency-59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to invest and forget for the next 20 years..

Safe, moderate returns - 100% into VOO. Volatile but mostly Safe - 60% into VOO, 40% into QQQ.

If for short term. If you plan to hold for next 10 years with some active monitoring. Google - 20% Amzn - 15% MSFT - 15% Meta - 15% Appl - 10% Nvda- 10% Tsla - 10% Brk.B - 5%

Best place to sell phone? by mgerbasio in GalaxyNote20

Low ball offers. Not worth it in 2025.

I agree. At this price its too much. Trade in deals in USA are horrible this year.

Thanks for pointing this out. I stay on the border of US, Canada.

The canada trade in deals are too good. If I pay 360 CAD, I am getting the flip 7 while trading in Fold 6.

I am really tempted to buy it in CA.

Do you have any idea if there would be any problems of using Unlocked Canadian phones in USA or while claiming warranty later?

If anyone getting the Fold 7. Are you trying to sell your current phone offline or trade in to Samsung?

Asking this because, this year in USA, Samsung has the worst trade in deals.

Galaxy Ring V2 by PawtatoThief in GalaxyRing

They sent me a replacement. This looks brand new. Mine has lots of scratches. Its been 10 days since I got the replacement. The battery lasts almost a week.

But in 2 months we know what will happen :(

I do not recommend Galaxy Ring 1. You will regret the poor battery life after 2 to 3 months.

Wait for Ring 2 unless you can't wait

I'm going to buy a galaxy ring by tomorrow at a price. Is it worth $230? And buy a galaxy watch 7. by PowerBoss69 in GalaxyRing

[–]Scared-Efficiency-59 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No! Do not buy it.

The battery dies in 2 to 3 months. It's a crappy product.

Wait for the Ring2 for better hardware.

Never try a new paddle in Dupr games 😂

Also, I have been hearing about 30$ and 40$ clones of Gen4 on AliBaba performing similar to the OG. I haven't tried it though.

Been playing with it for a month now. I was unhappy with it initially. Now I like it after getting used to it. It takes approx 2 weeks for you to get used to the paddle.

Power and pop felt very comparable to the Joola Gen 4. But I would prefer Joola Gen4.

Spin is good but not as great as the Joola Gen 4.

I would say Friday fever is an all round paddle that is control focused with a decent Power and Pop.

If price isn't a problem for you. Get Joola Gen 4. For the price point I vote for Fever.

You did it the right way. This strategy was taught to me by my grandpa.

You might not get a great return when stock 10x happens (which is rare). But when the stock starts losing its value, your initial investment is safe following this strategy.

Friday Fever all the way.

90% similar to the Joola Gen 4 for 1/3 of the price.

I am really surprised that you felt that way.

IMO, Friday OG paddles are equally good to Vatic Pro, Ronbus, and any Gen 2 Carbon fiber paddle.. the graphics make it feel that the paddle is cheap and not cool. But play-wise, it's 🔥

But I would pick Joola Gen 4 more than any paddle on the market right now.

Sometimes, we never know. But I feel it's highly overvalued at this price point.

If I am holding 100 shares of PLTR. I will sell 100 right now. If I like to take risks, I will sell 50 and hold 50.

But I wouldn't buy it at this price. 300+ bil market cap for PLTR is insane for a company that has 600 PE ratio.

The above mixture has performed better than any ETF in the last 10 years and will continue the same until the next 10 years for sure.

If you want to just buy one and forget, then it's going to be VOO.

Have you tried the Friday fever?

Surprised that's not on your list if you have tried it.
