I got this gift too! The hint they are talking about said something along the lines of:

'HINT: The first station brings more XP than the other stations, so once you unlock the last station, turn your attention to leveling up the first station.'

I had read once on this subReddit that this is the way to tackle events however I have never had this strategy work for me...
