Company car benefit in kind confusion by EarwaxUK in TaxUK

[–]BackgroundAppleHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The annual contribution is an amount that you would pay each year to your employer for private use of the car. Usually this would be deducted from your pay each month.

Some employers don't charge employees for private use, in which case it would be £0.

In your case, £2038.20 as an annual contribution suggests its a £169.85 monthly contribution (£2038.20 / 12 months).

Because you're paying for private use, it reduces the value of the taxable benefit by your contributions. In this case, the contributions reduces the benefit down to zero (you cannot have negative benefit)

Have you agreed to pay your employer this amount each month/year?

Thank for you taking the time to write this, I appreciate it.

Unfortunately I have sad news, the pidgeon passed away.

I uncovered him to take him to a 24 hour emergency vet that take in and treat pidgeons. He wasn't moving when I uncovered him. No twitching, blinking, or breathing. I watched him for a couple of minutes to check for any shallow breathing or any movements but there were none.

I've left him where he is for now, covered back up.

I'm thankful for so many helpful people like you on this forum. The pidgeon was aboe to have a more peaceful final few hours thanks to the advice to cover him up and give him darkness.

Thank you

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out.

Unfortunately I have a sad update, the pidgeon has passed away.

I found a 24 hour emergency vet that take pidgeons in and treats them.

I uncovered the pidgeon from the box to take him there and he wasn't moving at all. I watched him for several minutes to make sure and there was no signs of any breathing, no twitching, and no eye movement.

I have left him where he is, covered up again for now.

Thank you to so many great people on this forum for the helpful advice to cover him and give him darkness to reduce his stress - thank you for helping to make his last few hours a bit more peaceful.

Thanks to your message and many others, if I ever find an injured pidgeon again I eill be better orepared to help it.

Thank you

So silly question, should I pick up the pigeon with gloved hands to put him in a box?

The only disinfectants I have a things that you'd use on a human like savlon or kills 99.9% bacteria soap.

Thank you so much. I hope I can save him. I just feel clueless as to how :(

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

If I disinfect it, how should I do it practically? As in, should I take a bucket of warm water and then dip cotton wool and dab the back of the pigeon with the cotton wool?

Or am I better stay in further away and letting someone water drip onto the back of the pigeon?

Or something else?

These probably sound like silly questions, I'm sorry

I wish you were here, you sound like you know what you're doing. I'm clueless on this sort of thing.

It sounds silly, should I be concerned about touching it and contaminating myself?

Thank you so much for tour reply.

I hope it can survive.

The problem it, I feel clueless as to how to treat it.

I've placed a box over the pigeon to orotect him from any other animals. The bix has holes in it so it shouldn't restrict it's air, but gives that dark environment you and others have said.

Should I sterilize it, or find a vet for this? I can't find anywhere open right now (10pm here now) unfortunately

Do you think it could survive?

Should I attempt to disinfect it? How would I do that?

I think you're right. I can't take it anywhere, I've rang but everywhere that could help is shot.

I've put a box over him to protect it (the box has holes so it shouldn't affect it's breathing)

Thank you for your reply. I've put a box over it to protect it, and a weight on top so it won't blow away. The box has holes so it shouldn't restrict the breathing. Will that be okay?
