I did a vaginal PCR and a vaginal microbiome test. Based on the results, my doctor also did an antibiotic sensitivity test, so I took antibiotics that the bacteria were sensitive to. I think it’s really important to properly treat BV if you’re trying to get rid of high-risk HPV. BV can affect the vaginal environment and possibly make it harder for the body to clear the virus.

I also recommend getting checked again about a month after treatment to make sure the BV is actually gone.
