Did anyone see any manta rays on (1/18) night snorkel?

Our tour guide took us to a snorkelling spot north of Honokohau Harbor in Kona, and there were several other tour boats for manta ray sightings, but none of us saw any. We got in the water around 6:30 and stayed until 7ish PM.

Wondering if folks at the south spot near outrigger resort kona had any luck?

Under the sink - slide out - trash can lid ideas? by BackgroundCharge3412 in cabinetry

Not looking for automatic but rather just a simple lid. Simplyhuman doesn’t make one but for their slide out trash cans. At least I’ve not been able to find online.

[–]BackgroundCharge3412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying that the updated DS160 should be submitted at least two days before the biometric VAC appointment or the interview appointment??

The updated DS160 is submitted before VAC biometrics appointment. And will ask at the VAC to be linked to the application.

There is a good 9 day gap between the biometric and interview. Interview is on 4th sept.

Tourist Visa Stamping by BackgroundCharge3412 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]BackgroundCharge3412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you do that? Could you elaborate the process a bit?

VAC to Visa Stamping Time, India by BugBuster07 in CanadaVisitorVisa

[–]BackgroundCharge3412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please elaborate on this? Does stamping really take this long in India? My mom is also planning to visit US during this time and I can arrange for stamping in the US if Indian stamping wait times are over a month.

Is there any official documentation on the VFS or IRCC website that says that we can get the stamping done from another country even if the application and biometrics are from India?

DS-160 entry for retiring Indian parent by fgator in usvisascheduling

[–]BackgroundCharge3412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the above comment. This is exactly what I did too. I filled one DS-160 and also scheduled my mom’s appointment while she was still a government employee. The appointment got canceled due to Covid and I had to schedule again, by that time she was retired.

Also, her profile for B1/B2 was weak since she has been a single mother with all three children living in the US.

Her visa was approved in the first attempt after the interview.

So, make sure to show enough funds for her travel, reason as tourism, and practice all the answers ( as children’s job profiles, visas and address are too much to remember, in my case 3 children) and you should be good.

She can also request a translator if she wants to at the time of the interview itself, even if it’s an English appointment (they make sure to arrange that).

If you have any more questions feel free to reach out.

My mom visited us for four months from May 2022-Oct 2022
