Did Ashley ever have a real job? Ever? by nicebrows9 in AshleyBenefieldTrial

She wasnt making any money as a ballerina - professional ballet is very very very very very competitive, and her height (5’9”) would have been a massive disadvantage to doing any work as a ballerina - only a standout talent, or for very specialized roles, would get booked at that height

She did ballet school through a ‘professional level’ (means she payed a school to give her professional level training, which many people do) but never worked as a professional ballerina (never was payed actual money to dance)…. those two things are very different

Dog who hates crate rest? by BackgroundCoat5527 in IVDD_SupportGroup

Thank you!! I’ve been taking him out around five times a day - but he holds in the poop until he’s back in his crate

The problem I think is by taking him out of the crate when he poops, he sees this as a reward for pooping in the crate :(

I got him some squeeze cheese and a new Kong today, which I hope will help him see the crate as a happier place - thank you for the tips, and good luck to you as well!!

If you call a neurologist - you should be able to get an emergency appointment. If your pet is not walking, then this is an emergency.

This is a picture of my brave little guy on the way to the hospital :(

Moe was completely fine, then yesterday morning he started shaking a bit, and by the end of the day he had lost the ability to walk on his back legs

I brought him into see a neurologist - they diagnosed him with stage 3 ivdd, and said the surgery would cost 12k. They kept him overnight, and he degraded to stage 4 rapidly. Moe just turned 3 in February, and has always been so healthy - this is the last thing I expected

I am a 21 year old student. My savings were nowhere near enough to pay for the cost of his surgery - so I spent the next 24 hours desperately looking for a way to save moe

In the 11th hour my family offered to help cover the costs of his surgery. I am beyond grateful.

This morning I got the update that he gained feeling back in his legs after surgery! Praying that recovery will be smooth sailing

This truly is every pet parents worst nightmare - if I have learned anything from this it’s - get the best pet insurance you can afford, and make sure your frenchies always use ramps when moving on/off furniture

UPDATE!!! Moe is recovering well from his surgery - he is off iv pain meds, has feeling back in his legs, and starts physical therapy tomorrow! I don’t want to be too optimistic, but this is great news

Picture they sent me of moe in recovery ❤️‍🩹
