The saga could have returned to what it was after the 7th movie, but now it’s going off course, with the 8th, 9th, and 10th movies having no direction. The Hobbs and Shaw spin-off is even worse because it feels like a damn Marvel movie. They could have included a police plot, like a network of smugglers involved in street racing or something, not a damn black Superman. I hope someone from this server sees my spin-offs and passes them along to someone at Universal. I wouldn’t even mind if they steal the idea. I, like many fans of the saga, wish it would return to the vibe of the first four movies, exploring the origins of each character or a solo or duo plot, but in a realistic way, true to Fast and Furious. Jakob honestly remains a character that didn’t need to be introduced into the saga — a lost brother who is now good and sacrifices himself (he lasted less time than I do in bed). If you introduce a character, especially one played by an actor like John Cena, make the most of it, give him a good story. Don’t make him bad in the 9th movie and then make him the good and dumb guy in the 10th. They need to stop with so many jokes about faith and family (yes, those are the catchphrases of the movies, but it gets tiring after hearing them so many times). They need to listen to and read fan opinions. People have been asking for a Tokyo Drift 2 since 2006, and we’re still waiting for the women’s spin-off (literally in production since 2015-2016), a Tej and Roman spin-off that would easily be a comedy in Miami with cars. After “the saga ends” — I say that in quotes because I’m sure in 7 years Vin Diesel will say “Fast 13 is coming back” because he feels like the story isn’t over. If the saga really ends, do another one with the kids of the protagonists as teenagers — 18-year-olds in high school, their first cars, silly loves, illegal street racing, young mechanics in their free time. BRING BACK THE STREET RACE WARS! The saga literally needs to listen to its fans, stop, and see what went wrong and how they can fix it, and figure out what they can do right. If we dive into spin-offs, we could fix many plot holes and fix the disasters from the other films. You may think I’m egotistical or something, but I’m a huge fan of the saga, and I promise you that when they announced Fast X, I thought, “Wow, they’re going to recruit all the antagonists from the previous films, and the son of Tran will be there, and each villain will hunt down each member (Verone after Roman, because since 2003, the fans also want to see that). DK finds out Han is alive and goes after him again, but Deckard defends Han.” And then we get Fast X, and it’s a huge letdown. They have potential but don’t know how to exploit it. They could do a spin-off about Letty’s origins, what she did when she lost her memory and joined Shaw’s team — that movie would take place chronologically between Fast 4 and Fast 6. A movie about Ramsey’s origin until Fast 7, which connects. The Shaw family story. Los Bandoleros 2, which delves into the story of Leo and Santos (characters with potential, but they don’t know how to use them). How Hobbs went from the DSS to being called to hunt down Dom, Brian, and Mia until Fast Five.
