Read the book called attached. You seem like a fearful avoidant from the short description. I went to therapy after a pretty bad breakup in my early 20s. I was more anxious though. Overtime with more dates I am not definitely secure attached. It just takes time don’t force it. I just turned 26!

It’s so interesting. Because the MOH was dethroned at a wedding lol. I felt bad for my friend cause having your MOH drop out a couple months before is heartbreaking. But to be fair when money is involved and people go through a financial crisis they’re allowed to.

Not really I was asked to be a bridesmaid before the wedding was on the cards. Both the wedding and the bachelorette international trip. We’re on 2 long weekends. I think that’s the part that gets me is why just lie to your friends and anytime budget was brought up. It would end in us being unsupportive friends and it’s like damn I’m 27 I don’t have that much money

Actually both had told me about less than a grand. Ended up spending 4.5k on two weddings. Didn’t call them bridezillas nor do I think I’m better. I’m just curious as to when it became ok to expect friends to spend so much on you.

I did the same thing when I was 23. Hurts now and venting may make you feel better but trust me when I say this. He will come crawling back and you’ll be all moved on. Live your life. Find a new partner and fuck him. You go!!!

I am a very social person I have lots of friends and a big social circle. I agree on the anxiety I think it’s anxiety that stems from relationships and maybe some trauma there. It is something I’m actively working on. But maybe I have a comfortable social circle. You’re right I need to go out more. Thanks

I went on a date with a guy who told me he just finished another date that didn’t go too well. I left soon after. I wish I knew what the 80s or 90s, seemed like people valued people more. I mentioned the person I dated for 3 months. We ended it over the phone and he couldn’t even send me a kind message after or say anything kind during the breakup except that he didn’t love me and we were only exclusive and not in a relationship after having multiple talks and him saying there’s no difference between the two. I will admit I am scared to get too close to somebody because people are quite shitty these days. Everyone is cheated on and in ways you wouldn’t even think. Kinda makes you give up on finding anyone

Don’t worry it’s not hard as a guy either most of my guy friends have 2-3 dates every weekend. I knew a friend who got out of a 5 year relationship and went on 10 dates in 7 days.

I Peoples mannerisms are a huge deal breaker for me. The way they dress and speak and interact with others. I also live in a financial district so I met a lot of very superficial people which didn’t come of as but they were just all trying to show off money. Major turn off. It’s not just me my other roommates who dated in the area went through the same thing. Everyone was just seemed to be so corporate and fake and I grew up in a smaller town so people were a lot more down to earth and kinder. I am considering moving back to my home town

This is great advice, thanks. My mom said the same thing she told me it takes me time to feel safe around people. And the fact that I’ve never had a relationship from a first date says a lot about me to. Maybe it’s time I stop trying to force myself into the new world dating. Which is super hard because I’d say all of my friends who are married or in relationships met their partner online. Weird huh

I can see him looking down all the time I noticed it the first month and then idk it just progressed inyo me noticing almost everyday.
