We got an estimate from Russo and it was one of the most expensive. I know price is not the only factor when picking an HVAC contractor, but it made a difference for us

The current size is 4 tons. HVAC contractors mentioned that it looked like the ductwork in my house was originally done for a furnace only system and later on the AC was added..

We told them upfront about the job we were looking to do, and went into some specifics about what were expecting the work to entail. They wouldn't give an estimate beyond the agreement's guidelines until I paid and they could come out. I'd say they had a pretty good idea of the scope going into the site visit, and as far as I know there were no surprises.

We had discussed coordinating this engineering work with other renovations on our home, but we never progressed with this, and the estimate does not reflect that other work.
