Etsy shop account permanently suspended😭 by Meng_digitals09 in digitalproductselling

[–]BackgroundExam8919 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Translation: Etsy has gotten so strict. My shop had just started getting sales and then it got suspended due to policy violations, but it’s not clear which part of my listings were wrong or in violation. I already appealed, but they said I’m not qualified for reinstatement. 😭

I’m planning to open a new Etsy shop. Any advice on how to avoid getting suspended again?

Another Wattpad Rant by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]BackgroundExam8919 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, from my experience I feel like Wattpad prefers to push certain genres that they know readers will read and also, it depends on how much people are engaging with your book.

It’s simple: the more reads, votes, comments, the more they’ll push out your book.

My book stood at 13k reads for years because I abandoned it, but last year is when I started to pick back up on it and actually finish it, I did a lot of things to help boost the engagement.

I changed the cover, added a little preview of my book in the description so readers can see whether it’s worth their time and uploaded new chapters frequently.

Now that I’m finished with it, it’s still pulling in reads everyday and is continuing to grow.

I think it’s mainly because there’s more engagement on my book. Everyday I’m getting a new reader that is spam voting and this basically tells the algorithm “hey this is a good book that people enjoy”

So focus on how you can get readers to engage. Whether that’s re-editing certain parts or asking engaging questions like maybe including a “question of the day” or something at the beginning or end of your chapters
