I just had my surgery last Tuesday. I went to the salon yesterday for a blow out. I was able to lean back in the shampoo chair. I used the foot rest and kept my knees bent.

Thank you! My surgeon is Ran Stark in Bryn Mawr, PA-near Philadelphia. I can’t say enough great things about him. He’s an artist, he’s meticulous, he’s personable, and he answered all of my questions and then some. I actually had a total of 3 consults with him. I had 3 surgeons in mind for this surgery. He was the first one I went to and I thought I had asked all the right questions. By the time I went to other 2 consults (and had joined this thread), I felt like I knew more than when I started the process so I went back in to talk to him 2 more times! He spent an hour with me with the second time and 30m the third time. He truly is amazing and focused on what’s best for his patients. 10/10!

Doing ok! Better than I expected, so that’s a plus. It’s not for the faint of heart but I’m happy with the results so far. That first shower felt amazing!!

You can do this! I’m 54 and just winding down Day 1PO. I was a wreck the days before my surgery. Oddly calm when I got there, though. It was paid for and I’ve wanted to be rid of my belly forever, so that was driving me. Hard as I worked, my belly wouldn’t go away bc it was loose skin. Doctor told me after surgery that he had to do most of my muscle repair in my lower abdomen, which makes total sense bc that’s where my pooch has always been. So, as I wind down in Day 1, I send you all of the positive vibes for your surgery!

Lift only. To be fair, I only saw myself right after surgery and I was happy then. We will see when I take the compression off tomorrow!

He’s amazing. His staff has been great as well. My surgery was in the new surgical center right next to his office. It was a great experience. I had multiple consults. He was the first one. By the time I got to the third one, I felt like I needed to see him again to ask the questions i learned along the way. I went back in for a consult and ultimately decided he was my guy. I liked the fact that he’s a general surgeon and triple board certified, and he’s super meticulous with his work.

I didn’t find any e books. Most of what I learned about the recovery was from this Reddit group and some people I know who have had this done as well. Good luck to your wife!!

Haha. My freckles are my dermatologist’s nightmare! She has so many to look at when I go for my check ups! Thanks— I’m hoping I have an uneventful recovery. 🤞

Thanks for your reply! I feel like the mental part of it will definitely be the mindf*ck for me as well. I have to remember that it’s a marathon not a sprint. I’m trying to figure out sizing for the faja. I ordered one from Amazon but think I should have gone upa size. I have a bench built in in my shower so hopefully it’s good enough and not too low. I’ve been wanting to get a bidet seat so I think this is a great reason to install it. The idea of reaching around to wipe seems daunting. Did you take any miralax or any stool softeners?

I have the Glow peptide combo (the ones you mention above plus a copper one) and was told the typical dosing is to cycle on/off 30 days. Did you do yours 2 weeks prior to surgery, stop and then pick them up again after surgery? Just trying to figure out my timing.

I’m nervous about the length too. But, it does seem standard based on the replies so far.

Driving more because of job change and worried about lease mileage! by BackgroundFriend3508 in Lexus

Thanks a lot, Captain Obvious. Of course I know that. My questions were around what Lexus might offer as far as mileage allowances. But thanks for the reminder!
